But wait, I see an issue...DAMNIT.. What if Camby demands that he gets number 23 ???

GAWD...Why does everything have to be so gayhfydamn difficult for Cleveland sports teams ?? I blame Elway and Jordan for this one...

He rebounds, he can score, and hes a good inside presence, but the man is old. and getting older. For a championship run sure hes good for another 2 maybe 3 years.

I like the deal but because of his age I say only do it if there is not a deal out there that brings in a younger player. Still, I really would like Camby.

Cavs: Trade: Wally/DJ/Bulls 09' 2nd/09' 1st
For: Camby/Hart/Warrick

Clipps: Trade: Camby/Davis/Hart
For: Wally/09'st

Memphis: Trade: Warrick
For: Davis/DJ/09'nd

The Clippers paid for Camby /2nd and turned it into a 1st pick while dumping R. Davis. If anything maybe just to spite the Lakers

Memphis already has R. Gay and needs front court help

Mo/Gibson/Hart
West/Warrick/Kinsey
James/Pavs
Wallace/AV/JJ/Williams
Z/Camby/Wright

Hakim Warrick is a shooting guard these days?

Let's try and get Kyle Lowry to play some power forward.

I thought we had deals on the table for a big and multi talented 2 guard:(

Id like to get Camby but would he like to come off the bench or is that going to be a deal breaker.

Maybe we have to take "wrong rim Ricky" back in order for the Clips to do this trade?

Pretty sure he'd get 25-30 minutes with us regardless of whether he comes off the bench or not. You'd have to imagine that a guy who has played for losers his entire career would be willing to sacrifice a starting spot and/or a few minutes to win it all. Plus he'd be playing on a team that fits his mentality completely.

Can't the Clips be fair and give Camby up for what they got him for? A swap of 2nd round picks. :chuckles:

Another thing that makes this even better is wally is willing to ask for a buyout of his contract and come back here! That would be really nice.

Camby came off the bench for a team that went to the finals years ago...

Not a deal breaker IMO...

Let me hide my enthusiasm..

He can guard SF or a few large Sg's!! BTW, 1st D!ck I have come across on this site.:D

Does this really even hurt our future? We just have more expirings a year later is all. I mean unless Wally's contract really can get us a big time younger player this year, then this looks great. As it stands now Im not sure I see a whole lot of better options for what this team needs than someone like Camby.

Late first rounders have been bought for pretty much nothing the last few years. If the Danny's really wanted a player badly late in the first Im sure we could pony up some cash, and that TE I believe we still have laying around... some team that doesnt want to add the contract of a first rounder would bite. Problem solved.

Exactly. While I doubt it happens, it would be an absolute steal for us. Not only would Camby help us win now, but imagine what we could get with him and Ben's expiring's next season?

Plus, if it were to go through, Wally would probably ask for a buyout, and be right back on the next plane to Cleveland. That would be incredible.
