Lakers @ Blazers | April 10th, 2009

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
That was a fantastic game, with an even better ending.

I love the Portland fans and all their energy and funny signs. What a home court advantage for a young team that deserves the love. The Odom/Bynum matchup is going to be fun for years.

Cavs 2-0 vs. Blazers.
Lakers 2-2 vs. Blazers.

Hockey assist to Denver for pushing the Lakers just enough yesterday, and congrats to the Blazers for finishing the job.

i really hope our team could have players in the mold of either LMA or Oden.

It's sure to happen the next time the Cavs draft #1 or #2 overall. :chuckles:

Ferry, work your magic.

I have a huge man crush on Rudy Fernandez. He's gonna be solid for years.

I assume you mean Oden/Bynum?

I absolutely loved the ending to this game. Kobe the best finisher in the game? Not anymore.

:chuckles: Yeah, that's what I meant.

I guess I internalized it from the number of times the Blazers announcers stumbled over Oden/Odom.

Mad props to the Portland fans. U deserved this win. While many other teams fans, including playoff teams, jump on the mvp chant bandwagon Kobe, they are drownin out that noise with the Beat LA chant. That is true class. This portland team is strong, if we dont see them this year in the Finals, i expect we will see them 3 or 4 times over the next 5 or 6 years there. Also nice to see Oden gettin there, slowly but surely. If Brandon Roy takes on the leadership role this post season, i can definately see them makin the finals this year.

How about Lakers vs Blazers 2nd round exit?

I wouldn't go that far. Lakers would have home court vs them and blew them out both times this season in LA. Tonight's game was very close all game. Was a 1 point game late. Props to the Blazers there dominance at home vs the Lakers continues.

I said before the game It could go either way especially on a back to back without Phil in a place where Lakers havent won in years against a good playoff team.

Nice to see Shannon Brown produce. Lakers have said it was just a matter of time of learning the triangle offense before he got some run. Farmar has been to inconsistent. Farmar hasn't had anyone all season to make him work for his minutes he was gonna get them by default now he does have competition as Brown is more familiar with the offense. Last year Critterton made Farmar work hard to keep his minutes.

OK I dont know if it is coincidence or what, but I was busy last night and all I want to see is the highlights from nba.com. Then I get this:

"GENERAL ERROR
The video you are attempting to view has either expired or is not embeddable."

I can see every other video. I am sure if we lost it'd be available. Cmon NBA I am sure if it was some other team losing you'd have the video! Oh well I am just happy they lost.

Pretty weird. When we lost to Orlando and Washington it was all cavs slip up. But no mention at all on NBA.com about the loss when it is actually a big deal considering the race for overall #1.

The Lakers chemistry started to unravel in the last few minutes of the game. Maybe chemistry is still a concern in La La Land.

Kobe = ballhog. If your shot isn't there, you don't keep chucking up shot after shot hoping one goes down, no matter how good you are, especially in a close game. Why not draw up a play for one of your big men using Kobe as a distraction? Why not go to Lamar Odom (who had a pretty good game), Andrew Bynum or Pau Gasol?

Oh well. Hopefully the ego flares up and an early playoff exit causes Kobe Cryant to demand to be traded (again) or opt out of his contract.

I'm willing to bet that if they lose in the Finals AGAIN this year he'll be asking to get traded AGAIN. Kobe was being a selfish bitch last night. There was no need for him to chuck up a three with abut 50 seconds left. Go for a quick two and you're only down one or try to draw a foul for the AND1. Best closer in the game my ass. Kobe is NOT the best closer in the game. The best closer in the game doesn't do what he did last night.
