Lakers @ Blazers | April 10th, 2009

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
you guys are acting like the blazers will actually make some noise in the playoffs hahaha they will get owned in LA & feel too much pressure when they go down 0-2 (thats if they even get out of the 1st round). LA is 6-2 vs the blazers in the playoffs. Too young & too inexperienced..LA would beat them in 6 games max trust me. Bynum is still rusty, kurt rambis was coaching, & they didnt get into portland until 4am. LA also committed a bunch of stupid touch fouls that are rarely called in the playoffs.

When's the last time the Lakers played the Blazers (this version) in the playoffs? Just curious.

P.S. I could pick apart the Cavs/Lakers games from this season too. The way I see it then, the 2 Lakers wins are flukes.

im just sayin LA owns Blazers when it matters. I understand they didnt play this team but you actually think a team this young & inexperienced can win a series without homecourt? LA is due for a win in the rose garden. I'm not trying to be rude & all but Cleveland is nothing but a jumpshooting team so their 2 losses werent flukes. What are you gonna do whenn you gotta face a team with a big frontcourt. You cant rely on three pointers to win a title

Oh & go check out the blazers road record. There nothing but a young utah jazz team. They look hella good at home & look like a d-league team on the road. I honestly think refs are intimidated by the crowd noise in the utah & portland arena. Big games in those arena sound like a finals game & i love how crazy the crowd's get. Its fun to watch.

Lost in the shuffle of all the talk about Kobe blowing it down the stretch (he did), the mental error that Odom and Fisher made to foul Blake for absolutely no reason with 45 seconds or so to go was one of the most enjoyable. Not only was it the completely wrong decision by two veterans but it gave Kobe an excuse to yell at them for helping to cement a loss, right after (and before) he missed another shot of his own.

That was a great moment. :chuckles:

Blazers benefitted last night from the Lakers playing a back-to-back but they are still going to be tough to beat in Portland in the playoffs. I could see a series going 6 or maybe even 7, but it's hard to see the Blazers getting a win in LA. Maybe if they put on "Charlotte Blazers" uniforms they could do it.

Yea a lot of stupid decisions at the end. Tired legs make a huge difference with the decisions you make. This year the playoffs in the West & East are gonna be amazing. cant wait

Ugh, another of you guys. You guys just multiply in the corner like roaches. Why can't you just admit that your team lost a close game against a pretty good team? Why is it so hard to admit that? The Blazers did play very well, hitting clutch shots. I'm not taking anything away from the Lakers except Kobe's ball-hogging at the end. It was a good game. The Blazers are a young team, one that will continue to grow and get better which could ultimately challenge the little monopoly you guys have over there since the Spurs are aging faster than Greg Oden.

You can make all the excuses you want. You guys always do. Sure the Lakers had a tough back to back. That's part of playing in the NBA. If you want to be mad/make excuses blame the Lakers organization. You can't have everything fall your way and tip-toe to the Finals. This is a professional sport, these are athletes that have to deal with adversity on and off the court. You want to talk about a tough back-to-back. How about the Cavs going back to back in Atlanta then Miami and winning them both after getting stuck in Atlanta because of a freak snowstorm.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are a no-excuse team. The fans here are rabid and ready for a championship. Don't you think we just are waiting to prove the sports world wrong? I'm beyond sick of stupid fans. It's one thing to be loyal to a team, but it's something completely different to be a blind jackass who brays and spews nonsense everywhere despite evidence to the contrary all around you.

That post was hilarious, Jim.

The Cavs are 15-3 on the 2nd night of back-to-backs with one to go. They win those games at a higher rate than their regular season winning percentage. The Cavs need to ask for more next year....

The Lakers are 14-5 on the 2nd night of back-to backs with none to go.

Right now, the Cavs extra win and the Lakers extra two losses are the exact difference in the regular season standings. Poor Lakers and their "tough" schedule. :gap:

Why are you guys making such a big deal about a regular season win? Okay the Blazers play inspired and emotional ball on their court, all young teams do, the Lakers played tired ball and messed up at the end. Okay, Lakers lost, that's the end of it.

By the logic in this thread then Lakers own the Cavs, did you forget that the Lakers beat you guys on your home court by double digits? and pretty much got blown out at Staples? You guys should know better than to over analyze a regular season win.

Portland plays good at home, that's all last night means, doesn't mean the Lakers are frauds, that the Blazers are gonna take them to seven. Playoffs are completely different, there's no back to backs, and the Lakers will be going in to Portland prepared with a game plan, not just fly in on game day with nothing like last night.

To all of you hating on Kobe for having a bad game last night.

Lebron vs Lakers this season:

@ Lakers: 23 points, 9-25 FG, 6 TO's in 42 mins
vs Lakers: 16 points, 5-20 FG in 40 mins

So yes, even the perfect King James has bad games, what does this mean? nothing. He's still my MVP this season.

What are you trying to prove? Everyone here already knows that Lebron has bad games(I don't like calling him King James) So this post was pointless. One more thing, he's NOT perfect.

Nothing, just saying the bashing is pointless.

No one was bashing Kobe for having a bad game. We were bashing him because of the way he closed out the game. I don't think the bashing was pointless. We were just pointing out that the way he tried to close out the game was not the right way.

And another thing. If you weren't trying to prove anything then why did you make the post in the first place. Of course you were trying to prove something. Stop lying to yourself.
