LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'd prefer title contention, but we haven't been that for 2 years. How do we get back there?

I'm not willing to accept a shitty 82 games of basketball in exchange for a 5-10% shot at a Championship, which is pretty much where we are right now.

Somebody correct me, but....why would LeBron not leave after this season, especially if we lose to the Kyrie and Hayward-less Celtics?

I literally see no reason for him to want to sign here and waste 1 more year. The way the Dan Gilbert bungled the Kyrie trade and Kobe fudged up at the trade deadline....the team is set up horribly for a rebuild or contention.

I see no way of getting any help for LeBron unless you gut the entire roster's future or depth (Cedi, Zizic, 8th pic, or Love) in a trade.

And to make the matters worse, when LeBron does leave, we will be left with a JOKE of a roster MOVING FORWARD:
PG: Hill will be bought out.
SG: Maybe retain Hood, but do we want to?
SF: Cedi?
PF: Nance. (Love will be traded for young pieces that I'm sure we will fudge up.)
C: Zizic

Seriously, I see NO positives about this team one way or another.

(I know we have some expiring contracts, but I feel that those have lost a lot of value these past years, same as the trade exceptions.)

wow now Cris Carter Nick Wright actually debating LBJ going to the Warriors...has the world gone mad....if he leaves the very last place he is going is to Golden State

Well he could play like 3 min a game I guess

Exactly what people said about KD lol. "No way he goin to GS, they just wooped his ass!"

Okay....

1. Plenty of teams have won NBA championships without LeBron James. So the fact that LBJ is a generational talent does not mean that the Cavs will necessarily have to wait another generation to win a championship. Could be sooner, could be later.

It doesn't -have- to be LeBron, but what I'm telling you is this is how the NBA works.

Either you have a "Superstar" like roster or you're irrelevant to the conversation.

I'm not saying we are going to win another ring, but what I am saying is the door is closed and the party is over once LeBron leaves.
The fairly major factors in all of this
-Draymond Green CRYING like a bitch to land Durant making it nearly IMPOSSIBLE to build an NBA Championship roster. (In a just world? they've been punished for that stunt)
-The AAU team mentality of the Warriors and their refusal to get paid like how people normally would in this situation.
-Delly, and Mozgov getting paid an insane amount of money.
-Griff not getting a contract to be gm of the team for another couple of years.
-The Kyrie trade and only really getting The Brooklyn 8th, Larry Nance Jr. (after a 2nd trade) as part of the deal
The door is still open a crack with LeBron here. It may be the smallest crack that you could only fit a credit card in, but it's about to be shut in your face for quite some time.

It could very well happen.

Again, this is the world the NBA has cultivated.

It's about to go through another slump like it say after the Shaq/Kobe break up if they don't wake up soon.

It’s funny when people say we haven’t been in “title contention the past two years”

Even if true, we’ve still had a better shot at getting there and winning it then everyone not named the Warriors in 2017 and everyone not named the Warriors and Rockets in 2018.

Boston may or may not beat us this series but regardless they at best have an equal or not lesser chance against GS

So wow if we’ve had it so bad the last two years as fans, how bad have fans of the other 26-27 teams had it. You can talk all you want about wishing you had a future arc of a PHI, MIL, UTA, etc, but they don’t have a title and three title appearances in their immediate rear view.

The main problem with the NBA is that the regular season is meaningless. You could make it meaningful again by returning to a 5 game series for Round 1, (seeding would matter again).

We took a major step back this year after not having enough last year. Going backward is always worse than moving upward, even f the sliding team is above where the growing team is.

Ever gotten a raise? Ever gotten a pay cut? Which one feels better? Total amounts don't matter.

Sixers....

Sixers make the most sense, by far; especially if they can swing either George or Kawhi.

I see him choosing "Home"(Cleveland), Long term or another 1-2 deal

or

Best friend/Peers(HOU)

Just personally don't see him doing brand new city and team with mostly young players(younger than Kyrie was in 2015 and Bron is 4 years older). Sixers make sense from an NBA2K standpoint and Lakers make sense to the thirsty media and delusional LA fans, but I don't see those as being the moves for 33 year old Bron makes.

I could be way, way off about what his criteria and outlook will be. So I guess I'd say of CLE, HOU, PHI, and LAL, the only team that would shock me would be LA
