LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Los Angeles makes sense for schools because he has a true residence there.

I just don’t see LeBron passing up a location to play as a free agent based on schools.Find your destination, assemble your team, then look for residence/schools.

His situation is completely different otherwise he would be opening up the pool to so many other cities with quality schools.

Ohio and California does make sense. Looking at schools in Philly and Houston makes no sense at the moment.

It lends credibility to Wade’s analysis, that this decision isn’t about titles. It’s about quality of life and family happiness.

If LeBron chooses HOU, I think Wade was wrong. It wasn’t about quality of life. I think HOU is a clear “ring play”. If LeBron stays with CLE or LA, I think Wade was spot on.

Not linking but (gasp) one of the Lakers fans found out I was lurking their one thread. (The "NASCAR" bit made it obvious)

I know there are Cavs fans lurking here. I know our Lakers Exceptionalism is chomping away at your tired, beating hearts. It's okay. Just a few clicks and you too can join us in our quest for #17. You'll no long have to "Defend the Land" with your coal stained hands. You'll be a part of a Nation. Lakers Nation. You'll no longer have to rely on the Browns, or NASCAR, or the Tribe when the Cavs inevitably fade off into obscurity. You too can enjoy Space Jam 2, when the Monstars come back, this time for the Lakers and Lebron James. You too can be happy for the James family, enjoying life in Brentwood, CA. They can finally be at home and at peace. They got married in CA. They live here in the off season. Now they can live here all year round. Oh, and the state income tax? Don't worry about that. Lebron James is rich. He can pay it. And the best thing about being a Lakers fan is if no free top free agents sign with us... We'll still be in the news. We'll still dominate headlines 24/7. We'll still draft great players late in the draft while other GMs are caught with their hands down their pants. We'll still have the beaches, the sunshine, the beautiful weather. And the women... well... I'll just stop right there.

Sleep Well, Cleveland.

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day.

lol.

"I don't understand the concept of pro sports and why someone would stay loyal to a franchise over a player"

Why would I get any enjoyment out of rooting for a team I have zero ties to?

We haven't heard any legitimate news for over 24 hours. If we don't see any legitimate news before the draft, I think it's safe to say he is gone.

ugh after that I've never been more proud to be from here, and more lucky to not be from there

I think this falls on Baker. LeBron knows Cleveland ain’t big enough for both of em. There can be only 1 pied piper.

I'm trying to even understand or decode what the fuck he's even talking about.

He's pretty much implying that we should ditch all of our interests (in other sports), and the local teams so that we can bandwagon with the Lakers? Yes?

Why would you even want us as fans of your franchise? that makes no sense. Like none of us were going to Heat fans and going "COME CHEER US ON!". Because that sounds insane and stupid.

come on, that's a really funny troll. "Your coal stained hands". I'm a Cavs fan, time to put down the pickaxe, leave the mine, and go watch a ball game!

I definitely just think they were trying to imply how great LA is and how average (?) Cleveland is. "coal stained hands", "we'll still be in the news".

What's most funny about that is that the OP of that is 100% from a state with no local basketball team and probably hasn't even been close to Los Angeles

Having been to LA? I felt claustrophobic there. It's not awful place to vacation at, but to live? Massive headache. The traffic is awful, and I just keep remembering the housing felt insanely cramped.

The people I encountered were normal, and I enjoyed sight seeing (Disneyland, Sunset Strip, and the Rose Bowl are all pretty cool) but I feel much more at ease living in Ohio, Oklahoma, or even Florida.

San Diego? Different conversation :). Great food, Great views, and felt much more comfortable.
