Mo Williams to Portland Ideas...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Strangely... we had Andre Miller 10 years ago.

LOL so true. When people kept mentioning Miller I kept thinking to myself about how we actually had him back in the day but had to trade him so we could tank to get Bron.

Andre Miller wasn't traded because the Cavaliers were looking to tank. He was traded because he wanted the max and Gund wasn't going to pay him .

Well yeah but that doesn't mean it's going to be easy for us to execute a s&t for him! I think KVH was an exception.

not easy but possible. If needed most think Gilbert will spend and do whatever he can to improve the team and keep you know who

Last year Batum averaged 10 points on 52% FG, 41% 3s, 84% FTs, and he's a solid defender. Not bad for a 21 year old..

Last year's #4 overall pick averaged 20 points 5 boards and 6 assists. Not bad for a 20 year old. Consensus? Number four is probably more valuable than Nicolas Batum.

I'm not disagreeing that he is a solid player with potential to bloom...

I think the likelihood of Wally being involved in a trade this offseason is about on par with us landing CP3, so seeing him involved in trade scenarios for Paul seems fitting.

Of course it's possible but unlikely in my opinion. I was just giving bleedin a hard time because he says no way CP3 will be traded but then has some outlandish trade for Bosh and then a follow up trade with Portland.

Tyreke Evans would probably go 2 or 3 in this current draft even without knowing what he did for the Kings.

Anyway, that's not the point. It looks as if Fernandez is on his way out, and Webster really not showing anything to look forward to, they need a SF, and Batum looks promising. They're not going to get a better SF prospect then Batum at #4 if reports are true that NJ is leaning towards Wes.

And the Wolves want a SF as well, which is why they probably offered the deal.

Okay I guess the words "Pipe-dream" don't make sense when u read them.. I know it was outlandish, I thought I made it clear. But people have been talkin about trading for Paul for the better part of the 09-10 season. If it was gonna happen, shoulda been done before Shinn is set to sell the team. I guess when 4 different reports come out today alone saying that something is NOT gonna happen, to you it means "huh theres still a chance".

If the Blazers have interest in Mo Gotti then why not try and couple Mo with a guy u know they had an interest in the past was all I was thinking. I do think the Cavs will make a deal. One of the magnitude I suggested, I doubt it. But if there is a way to land CB4 u have to know that Gilbert/Grant are going to attack it at every angle, a 3 way being very possible, IMO. I just came up with something to join the forum with a bang....

If Portland made the call to us about Mo then they obviously are really interested. With this being said then what do you guys think about a Mo Andy package for Oden and Bayless.

This would give them a productive big in Andy and Mo. It would give us two young peices and good peices at that.

So I am looking at the roster for the Blazers on the ESPN trade Machine, I noticed not only are Brandon Roy and Lamarcus Aldridge playing for peanuts, but they also have the poison pill provision. What exactly is that?
On another note. Unless we get Oden, we should not trade Mo to the Blazers. Not to metnion Mo should be shipped in a bigger deal. However, if we go after Collison, or Paul. We wil lmore than likely not include Mo, but instead trade a majority of our assets. Then that is when you trade Mo for Oden. I know he has injury issues but if you obtain CP3 or Darren Collison, and Okafor or Peja then you will be fine starting Andy, if Oden does get hurt. Not to mention we could always resign Z

Semi-update from CBSSportsline.com's Ken Berger:

Cleveland also received inquiries from several teams about point guard Mo Williams. One of those teams was Portland, which also rejected an offer of a high first-round pick – believed to be Minnesota’s fourth selection – for swingman Nicolas Batum. According to sources, the Cavs are not aggressively seeking to trade Williams but are listening to offers.
