Mo Williams to Portland Ideas...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
One of those teams was Portland, which also rejected an offer of a high first-round pick – believed to be Minnesota’s fourth selection – for swingman Nicolas Batum.

lol, wut?

If Portland made the call to us about Mo then they obviously are really interested. With this being said then what do you guys think about a Mo Andy package for Oden and Bayless.

This would give them a productive big in Andy and Mo. It would give us two young peices and good peices at that.

HELL. NO.

The only way I could see us using Wally in a sign in trade is if we were 3 million short and Gilbert traded Wally + 3 million to pay him his salary.

I agree, though I think it could extend out to maybe 5-6 million maximum if absolutely necessary.

I used to wonder what it would be like to pair a healthy Greg Oden with LeBron but with his injuries and Portland standing by him, I don't see "Wise LeBron" teaming up with LeBron anytime soon.

The only negative is that Wally will take up a team's roster spot for a year. I don't think they can just cut him after he is sign and traded.

True, but he'd become an asset at the end of the year, basically a smaller version of Dampier this off-season.

Portland and Cleveland just don't seem like good trading partners... We need one of three things: a good center, a upgrade at the SG position or a high draft pick in any trade involving Mo... The Blazers can really only give us one of those things (Camby or Oden) and it's questionable whether or not they'd do that..

The guys I do like that Portland has (realistically outside of Roy and LMA) are Bayless, Batum, Oden and Camby... I'd try to get Bayless, Batum and Oden/Camby for Mo and some other pieces which seems like a lot for them to give up... They'd probably counter with Bayless, Webster/Fernandez and Pryzbilla which isn't enough... Any offer should start with what center they'd send us... We would need Camby or Oden...

Bayless is a sleeper who, if given the time, can be a real good fit here... He's a good shooter, has real nice athleticism, can defend and can create his own shot..

Oden would definitely be a risk with his injury which is why I'd probably ask for Camby (doubt they give up on Oden this early, especially for Mo) but if Oden is healthy, he has the chance to be a real good center...

I doubt the Cavs could get Batum with how high the Blazers value him and what the Cavs would likely want along with him... I don't think he'd be a breaking point in any deal but he'd be a nice role player off the bench or a nice 5th option/defender in the starting lineup...

Fernandez and Webster don't really do much for me... Outside of spot-shooting they don't do too much offensively and don't do enough on the defensive to make them that good of a role player..

Andre Miller is a good point guard but not for this team considering we need guys who can shoot..

Joel Pryzbilla is a center but he's too injury prone, doesn't do much of anything on the offensive end and isn't good enough to be a starting center... He's much more valuable coming off the bench which isn't what we need/...

Soo Camby / Rudy / Pick for Mo ?

And we'd need another trade lined up for another PG...

:)
