Moneyball Comes to Cleveland

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
That pic= Impreasador-type credibility.

From some reason, every time i see that profile pic, i think - that looks like someone who just farted - by himself, thought it was funny and took a selfie.

I could be wrong but, i feel really, really confident right now.

How ironic is it of Haslam to move forward with this analytics movement when he blatantly ignored all information and statistics given to him regarding Manziel/Carr/Bridgewater leading to the 2014 draft?

Because Jimmy knew all along Johnny would wreck this league and lead us straight to Goff ;)

It was actually the guy that likely gave Magic AIDS, Frank McCourt. However, I'll like your post anyway.

I'm a very Bay Area baseball fan. I do no research and only pay attention if its the playoffs and one of my teams is in it. My efforts as a sports fan are focused on football and hoops.

Nothing like a supreme catastrophe to make you learn the error of your ways.

I would like to believe that this is a factor in Brown's promotion... Perhaps he was a voice which encouraged the study/ results, and Farmer appeased Jimmy assuring him QB wasn't that important, and they could find a way to make Johnny just as effective.

God, the hot takes on The OBR make my head want to explode. I don't know why I even bother going over there anymore

Just come here for all your Browns talk, I guarantee it's the best out there and will only get better as we move forward.

That's less ironic and more an ability to learn from your prior fuck-ups.

I will say that with people who have been wildly successful their entire lives, with both Haslam and Manziel being examples...sometimes the only way to get through to them and humble them*** is to take them to an instant rock bottom in an area where they believe they are strong.

Public humiliation is effective for a lot of people, but many don't recover from it for a long time. These guys have the fallback of having been very successful in the past.

If this is indeed Haslam realizing that HE (not just his employees) made bad decisions, that's a good sign.

There are a lot of very, very successful people who are blinded to their own failures. Emperor's new clothes syndrome plus super high ego.

*** Here is another way to humble them:

You can talk all your analytics you want but luck is luck and we havent got any kind of it.

It all starts with hitting on those top 3-4 picks, with at least 2 future game changers. Our last game changer drafted was Haden. Thats so fucking sad and it makes me want to headbutt a knife.

These past drafts were so unbelievably bad i dont even know how we still care about this team but yet we do. I mean this team is basically starting with 2 building blocks, everyone else are question marks.

It would of been nice if Shelton was good as everyone was saying on this board before and after draft. Id count him as a wonderful foundation but he sucked. I seen nothing different compared to John Hughes on a pro level. Just difference in draft position.

This whole team is literally question marks. I hope this idea is a 5 year plan at worst. Stick with something for once.
