New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Anyone who watched the mini-series 'The looming tower'? Thought it was a great show (also enjoyed Jeff Daniels' acting a lot).

Trying to watch The Crown, but it seems like I have to pay too much attention. I'm on Season 1, Ep 8 or something. Do I continue?

Started watching the Spanish series Money Heist on Netflix. It has been enjoyable so far. I like how the show doesn't waste any time and gets the heist going right in episode one. Keeps the show moving and never really gives it a chance to get boring.

You don't sound like you're that entertained. There is plenty of other great shows, and movies to watch if you have to slog through this.

12 monkeys is interesting

I liked it a lot at first but I think it started going off the rails toward the end of the first season. It felt like they were just throwing in plot twists to have them rather than because they made sense.

I'm bummed about the expanse going. last episode was great.

My new favourite scifi is 'colony' they have done a great job of building a world that is consistent and interesting. Only downside is complete lack of charisma from the leads

Ah, they go prison break.

Kinda has a similar feel so far.

I won't get into the issues I've seen in the first three episodes because I wanna like it but it's not perfect.

I'm hoping Netflix picks it up. I think it'd be a perfect fit for them, and I believe they already air the show internationally anyway.

Yeah that's how I saw season 1 but the UK Netflix hasn't had season 2 yet iirc

I liked season 2 better and I thought it was easier to watch.

Season 2 of Westworld has been shitty so far

I think it's going to run into the same problems as most shows based around mysteries have. Eventually, you just have to start stalling for time to avoid answering the questions you keep asking, and often you have to do that by asking additional questions until everything keeps piling up to the point where there's zero chance of a coherent, logical, satisfying conclusion. Battlestar: Galactica and Lost are probably the most notorious shows for doing it, although X-Files probably designed the blueprint for it.
