Open Discussion (Cavs + related issues)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
That makes sense from the Cavs perspective but I would be amazed if the Suns couldn't get something better from some other team. You'd have to think that short of the Cavs using the Brooklyn pick, teams like Denver have the assets and the need for Bledsoe to beat any Cavs offer.

One other thing The Bullshit Whisperer said was that Bledsoe really thought he was going to get trade to us in a Kyrie to the Suns deal. After the Suns wouldn't give up the assets to make it work, he got depressed and basically checked out mental from the team. Who knows if any of that is true but maybe that scares some teams away. If he really wants to be on the Cavs and he gets traded to a non-contender is he going to want to be there.

I wish all this was happening 6-7 weeks from now, closer to when newly signed players were trade eligible. I think we could move Korver in a 3 team trade with the 2nd rounder we picked up from Boston to get another asset to add to our 1st rounder to get Bledsoe. This is where I really wish we pushed for another 1st rounder in the Kyrie trade.

He is an elite passer for a big man, his IQ is off the charts, his rebounding is excellent & his ability to score in just about every facet is unheard of for a true PF. The production as a 3rd option is about as good as you are going to get and he has produced for nearly his entire career. One cannot assume that Porter can step in and be asked to do what Kevin does and produce similar numbers.

Porter looks good this year, but he's only 3 games into what could be a great season. No way do you even consider Love for Porter. Especially at $24 mil+ a year. He's had one great game to pump up his averages.

We didn't seem to miss his production in 2016 when he missed game 3 and we win by 30 or game 6 when he only plays 12 minutes and we win by double-digits. Or in 2015 and we take the warriors to 6 games. I'm certain if we just have Kyrie we win that series. If we have Kevin love we still lose in 6 maybe even 5.

I think he has the talent to be a 2nd option but he doesn't have the mentality. Everyone wants to give him credit for taking a back-seat and accepting his role, well I look at that as a sign of weakness. This dude should command more respect given his talent level. He should demand a bigger role on this team. But no, he's just fine with riding along the coat tails of LeBron and company. I remember Lue tried calling him out on these things when he first took over the job and it hasn't seemed to make much of a difference since.

I think one of the real reasons he wanted out of minnesota is he couldn't handle the pressure of having to produce every single night. He couldn't take the criticism. He's just overall soft mentally which is another reason why he's so damn inefficient.

Keving Love is soft? Is his constant effort on rebounding soft? Is his ability to draw fouls in the paint soft? Is his patience and willingness to put up with constant criticism from the media and moronic fans...soft?

This hot take of yours is pure bullshit.

MAV..Love isn't soft..I watch him..he battles and uses what he has ..and he's become more physical..he''s not a elite player so there are times he's looks awkward, gets his shot handed back to him(as I said in another thread) but he will hustle.

I mean, sure it looks different to see it in the starting lineup, but we've all seen LeBron play PG(whether Kyrie was on the floor or not) for long stretches of just about every game the past two years. Unless the Bulls press a lot, I'd guess we'll see JR take the ball across half court a good amount of time just to ease the dribbling load on LeBron a little.

Lebron is a great passer but how many minutes can he play on the Point before he gets tired? He has a big body which isnt really optimal for the high pace on the Point...

Sometimes you have to tinker and do suboptimal things when IT and Rose are both out.

I'm going to be so pissed if we find a way to lose to the Kings tonight.

You got it mixed up.. We are not playing the Kings, The King is playing the Bulls tonight.

For real, why do we only have to have 1 starting lineup? why can't we be flexible and set different starting lineups according to matchups. It's unrealistic to think we can matchup against the Pelicans, 76ers or any teams with big skillful bigs at the 4/5.

That way teams have no idea what we are going to do.. unscoutable.

I bet you will see alot of switching tonight. Lebron can easily guard Robin Lopez on the block or their useless stretch 4's for that matter in a switch.

We need to figure out how to get rid of Calderon. We need a viable 3rd PG so we don't have to put unnecessary wear and tear on LeBron. To add to it I think Shump thinks he needs to expand his role to backup PG. Even a good combo guard would help out.

Too bad we didn't keep Felder and drop Jose.

Felder + Shump for Bledsoe.
