OSU Recruiting Thread

Antjuan Simmons de-committed last night. Four star OLB out of Ann Arbor Pioneer HS. He took an visit to Michigan State a couple weeks ago without the staff's approval, so that is a possible landing spot for him. Seems like Notre Dame could get involved as well, ironically looking at Simmons as a replacement for Pete Werner.

Good for them and hopefully it works out for him.

We will take Browning in his place

Assumed Browning was a done deal once I saw Antjuan Simmons decommitted. That's awesome news, if true.

I should have prefaced my post by saying that my source is a WHAC staffer and he's convinced we take Harris over Bolden in a numbers crunch. He isn't always right because he's not a coach, but I like our odds of Harris being the last guy in.

Also, regardless of whether Browning announces today, he committed to the coaches last night.

TBH thats the best he gets outside of know who commits and who doesn't. Browning gave them a pledge last night, that is a fact. I don't think that has been reported anywhere (maybe it has?). Whether he announces today or whenever, he verbally committed last night as did Okudah after his OV to FSU (weird timing, right?).

However, there's a reason why the reporters who report things on various sites all get similar information... they all talk to the same few sources (or get it from the recruits themselves). I get a lot more information about players on the actual team (transfers, grades, etc.) as those are the ones who hang out in the WHAC but most of the time he asks for it to be kept private. The few times he doesn't I post it on here and bucknuts. As CavsFan (mod on bucknuts) if he trusts my source, he can vouch.

The next time I get any info that has not been reported or mentioned anywhere, the first thing I will do is PM you and then you can decide for yourself if its legit or not. Fair?

nevadabuck gave Browning the ==== sign last night, so yeah that's the same thing.

Okudah was a Buckeye for quite some time, he's been the guy pushing Browning on coming to Columbus with him.

Bucknuts is largely responsible for stealing alot of good info. So like I said, looking forward to seeing what you've got if you're willing to post it here.

I only go on BN and 11W but I'm happy to update you with what they are saying on various people:

Lots of insiders have Crystal Balled Browning to Ohio State in the last 24 hours. Steve wiltfong even did so (switching his CB from Bama to us).

@AZ_ is one of our leading sources around here for scouting reports and insider info with respect to players (Buckeyes, Browns, Indians, etc.). He does this sort of shit for a living, so he's very good at his job and has credibility off the charts.

I'm not questioning your sources. I'm just saying that any info you provide will be vetted by at least one professional here and he has a demonstrated history of providing outstanding information. If you're full of shit, he will call you on it. Guaranteed.

That's perfectly fine. I told you guys exactly what I was told. I am very close with the source that I mentioned, as well as to Matta and a few staffers on the Ohio State Basketball team. I don't get stuff all that often (def more BB then FB) and likely wont get anymore football anytime real soon, but if I do, I will post it. Basketball stuff comes a lot more frequently as does off-season football info about players already on the team.

No worries, man. We appreciate the info. Sincerely. Especially me... I'm originally from NE Ohio but I moved to Atlanta 17 years ago and I'm always trying to get information that keeps me engaged with my hometown teams. Any info you're willing to provide here that's OSU-related (no matter how big or how small it is) would be awesome.
