Potential destinations for Anderson Varejao

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
would the cavs send av to houston for the knicks picks and houstons pick which nj has but is lottery protected

for the knicks pick and houston's pick that new jersey has? i dnt understand that mate.

But regarding whether they are interested in AV I doubt it they already got a tough defensive enforcer in Luis Scola. Unless they want to trade Av to Houston so they can use Scola in some kind of a trade.

He's going to get hurt soon and we're going to be fucked. Hopefully some teams give some serious offers soon.

We are already fucked. Like 85% of the league, we have a GM that fools around & doesn't value the draft. See, this is why I love the NFL in comparison. Teams in the NFL & their GMs actually covet their picks, Rds 1 - 4. The NBA GMs only covet their lottery picks & many of them make terrible picks and do a wretched job of scouting. ESPECIALLY the small market teams, which just baffles me. Small market teams should be the ones who are hiding those picks like a musician hiding blow in his rectum. They HAVE to build through the draft because big time stars don't come to those towns.

Case & point, The Cavs are built the following way:
They have 5 Guards, their two best are both point guards. The only good shooting guard they have is Boobie, which honestly is a 7th - 10th guy off most benches.
They have 6 Forwards. Harangody & M. Thompson are worthless as the tits on a bull. The T. Thompson pick made no sense in so many ways, #1 was Jamison. #2 was they have no shooting guard past Boobie. #3 was that Thompson wasn't even the best PF available at #4, let alone BPA left in the draft.
They have 4 Centers. 1 of them is actually worthy of an NBA roster spot. The others, wow. Semih Erden & Hollins couldn't stick a finger in their ass with two hands, let alone give useful minutes to an NBA team. Minus the injury issues, Samuels could be a solid depth guy that gives you 12 minutes a game.

I love the Cavs, but the way it is being built really doesn't make a lot of sense. What would make even less sense would be to trade Varejao. #1, the fans love the guy. #2, most fans in smaller markets want a blue collar type team. They want to relate to hard workers as that is what they are & their relatives have been. Why would you trade the hardest worker on the team? Injuries happen to every team & normally at the most inopportune time. The team that stays relatively healthy, has the depth to overcome an injury, & gets hot at the right time is the one that wins the NBA Championship. My opinion, Varejao is the Cavs first step toward that Championship. The next step is realistically replacing Jamison & adding a lights out shooting guard.

What are you basing this on??? CG convinced our owner to pay a freaking fortune to get the Clippers pick? He could trade Jamison & Session before lunch for players, but he won't because he wants picks. I bet we have more future picks than 90% of the league....and we're going to add more.

Right. The only two guys mentioned that we are actually "building the team" with are Kyrie and Tristan. Andy is a darn fine placeholder until we can find a young center and guys like Gee, Eyenga and Samuels are lottery tickets who might or might not pan out, not building blocks.

Not to mention, he would've done the same thing by getting Detroit's 2012 pick, had Hamilton not been so stubborn.

I remember hearing a couple weeks ago about Boston wanting Varejao. I think it was...

CLE: receives Boston's 2012 1st Round Pick, rights to LA Clippers 2012 pick (top ten protected), and Jermaine O'Neal's corpse.
BOS:gets Varejao

Helps us tank more and get 2 1st Round picks this year with Boston getting an underpaid Varejao to help rebuild and not to mention compete for a championship this year n maybe next.

Would much rather have Boston's pick next year.

Boston is a sinking ship at this point, their rebuild is here. I am pretty sure they won't be trading #1 picks for AV knowing they are going to need them themselves as their window closed this year.

As would I. Just really depends on their view of this year. Deadline is coming up so they'll have to decide win now than rebuild. Or start in a couple weeks. So I can see this happening until than.

Is it even permissible to trade an injured player?
