I just did a live draft today with 12 people, and just wanted to see what you guys thought of my squad. (Non-PPR)

QB: Matt Ryan

RB: Darren McFadden
RB: Kevin Smith

RB/WR: Donald Driver

WR: Larry Fitzgerald
WR: Andre Johnson

TE: Tony Gonzalez

K: Nate Kaeding

DEF: Carolina D

BN: LeRon McClain
BN: Ahmad Bradshaw
BN: Matt Cassel
BN: Shonn Greene
BN: Joey Galloway
BN: James Davis ;)

So what do you think? I feel like I definitely have an edge at reciever, and I absolutely LOVE McFadden this year, so hopefully it turns out well.

McFadden is going to have a breakout season. Great pick depending on when which round you snagged him up.

I think your running backs are a bit weak. I like the chances of McFadden having a breakout season but his chance of injuries are also high. Last year, I passed up good receivers and went for good running backs instead. I had a running back corp of Turner, McGahee, Jackson, Barber, and DeAngelo Williams. I won the division.

Besides that your team looks good.

I'd be weary of the Panthers' defense because their starting nose tackle is out for the season. I don't know how much it will effect their pass rush and coverage, but I know it won't be a good thing.

There's absolutely nothing to support this other than you being a Raiders fan...

Sketchy line, no stable QB and a less than average receiving core would suggest otherwise...

PIP declares 8 in the box for DMac...

.500 team. You will have weeks where you score crazy points and some weeks that you might have to count on your fingers. Basically, you lack week-in, week-out consistent scoring.

Agreed. While I feel RBs are a bit over-rated in fantasy football, you still have to have a couple pretty good ones.

I played fantasy two years ago and won, when Brady and Moss set all those records. From what I remember, my team was:

QB: Brady
RB: Portis, Peterson (rookie year), LenDale White
WR: Moss, Braylon Edwards, Dwayne Bowe (Moss was #1 in TDs, Edwards #2 for WRs)
D: Colts, Chargers
K: Vinitari

I don't remember who my TE was, but it was just your run of the mill TE. While my RBs weren't top notch (keep in mind Peterson was a rookie), they produced consistently every week, and of course there would be some weeks where Brady and Moss would almost single-handily beat the other team.

Your receivers are definitely stacked, but you are putting a lot of weight on McFadden. I think he will have a good year but you really need him too lol!

Just drafted my team today as well. I think I did pretty well to be honest.

QB - Jay Cutler
RB - DeAngelo Williams
RB - Ryan Grant
RB/WR - Ronnie Brown
WR - Calvin Johnson
WR - Chad Ochocinco
TE - Zach Miller
D - Chargers D/ST
K - Josh Brown

BN: David Garrard - QB
BN: Jeremy Maclin - WR
BN: Kevin Walter - WR
BN: Donald Driver - WR
BN: Felix Jones - RB
BN: Jamaal Charles - RB
BN: Brandon Pettigrew - TE
BN: Hakeem Nicks - WR

Your tight ends suck, but other than that you have yourself a contender! Are you in a league of 10?

Pretty balanced team, you should be in contention. Just hope Westbrook is healthy this year. I had him a year or two ago and when he is healthy he is awesome but he tends to sit out alot, especially towards the end of the season/playoffs.

Randolph -

I'm in a league of 12. Yea my tight ends do suck haha. I basically made a conscious decision to go all out on position players and pretty much ignored TE/D/K until the end. The point differential between the Top players and mid players in those fields are usually not that great. If I can get anything from Zach Miller I will be happy.

Jigo_oi,

Also make sure you have Lynch on the bench for the first 3 games, he is suspended for being a dum dum.

The nice about Sproles is that he gets almost all the action towards the end of the season since Tominlinson, like Westbrook and other top team RB's sits out the last game or 2.

Yep, I'm aware about Lynch. I was able to get him pretty late because of those 3 games he's out. When he was available in the 5th round or so, I snapped him up. Thanks for the heads up though.

I've actually got Sproles as my 2nd RB right now.

Westbrook is the key to that team IMO... You have arguably the best fantasy QB, and a couple potential breakouts in Sproles at RB and Williams and Hixon at WR.. I think Williams could regain some shine now that Owens is gone.. Hixon will battle with a few others for top billing in the Giants air attack (I still see them making a move for a top shelf WR like Marshall at some point)

I question the Titans defense sans Haynesworth... They were dominant last year, but when you lose won of the best DT's in the game, the notice should be tremendous...

Solid team for a first draft, Jingle...

I like your drafting style, di0p.

Jigo, I like what you did there. Burleson could be a steal. I'm a fan of drafting for later in the season. That way, you get first dibs on good free agents early in the season. Every year, some backup steals a starting job and turns in a good first game. You will be in position to snatch up this year's Lance Moore, and still have a stronger team when Lynch comes back.

Last year I was in a 14-team league and had a horrible team: too many injuries and absolutely nothing ever available on the waiver wire. 14 team leagues are just too big: the healthiest team wins instead of the most strategic player.

I have back-to-back drafts Monday and Tuesday, which are also my first two days back to school. I'm willing to guess I will be under-researched in the end rounds since I have been concentrating more on school lately.

I will still be posting what I put together.
