Fuckkkkk. Im still unemployed and cant justify spending the cash on theaters right now.
Ah. It's still good but the atmosphere is sort of important to the experience.

BTW movie pass is awesome, my viewing was in a round about way free (after I paid a hundred bucks)

Movie pass is the absolute truth.

When it works :p

But yea I'm gonna see a few movies a month. Excellent escape from stress and great way to relax. And movies are just drastically better in theater.

Very much agree. When had it not worked for you? So far it's been a very easy and smooth experience for me.

My reservation didn't show up yesterday, so I missed my show. Tried again later and even though it said I had no pending reservations in that tab, I couldn't make a new reservation because it said I have a pending one

Then, I was inside the theater and I was told I wasn't close enough to the theater to check in.

Customer service hadn't been responding to other questions but they finally did, and I found an actual customer service number. And clearing cache fixes everything

Interesting. So far I've been to the theater 15 mins before the show times and it's been smooth sailing. Haven't yet bought a ticket early for a later showing that day.

Watched Revenge of the Nerds again today.

It still holds up!

There are so many funny moments, a lot of them by comments made by secondary characters while everyone is together.

My favorites: After they set up the cameras and are watching the girls undress in the bathroom. One is topless and someone says, "It must be cold in there." Then someone comments, 'Nature's thermometer." That cracked me up...never heard it before.

Then, when they're putting the icy hot on the jock straps, Takashi says, "Like tossing salad!"

Ahhh....classic.

80s movies are a lot different, when watches them now.

16 Candles... I think Anthony Michael Hall's character fucked that chick when she was passed out...

I guess can't really.

I seem to do things with the app that fucks the app up

Worth paying for it in theaters? Or just wait for a good rip.

Wait for the rip...

This movie is one where you will either really like it, or really dislike it... Or you'll be like me and just scratch your head and not really be sure what you think afterwards.

I'll just say that I enjoyed the first two acts, even though they felt overly terse in their explanations of things and overall exposition was limited at best, if not simply nonexistent.. The films is almost, impossibly terse, as to stretch the suspension of disbelief beyond it's limits. And sometimes this works, at other times, it doesn't.

There were other problems where the movie apparently strays far from the book and this created some significant plot holes.

However, it is worth seeing, IMHO. It's a movie worth discussing... Just don't walk in with any expectations as to who is right or wrong, good or bad; because there are no heroes in this film.

My wife put on 2004's "Win an Date with Tad Hamilton.". It was a rom com where all the minor actors went on to do big things, but the main actors included the guy from That 70's Show, a blonde with nothing to offer, and the guy from the Taco Bell nacho fries commercials as the hearthrob. So... if you won a date with Tad Hamilton... expect 99¢ fries with an ounce of nacho cheese in a cup.

2/10

Speaking of Nolan; I was incensed that neither Inception or Interstellar won Best Picture and I loved Birdman; but it absolutely was not a better film than Interstellar... And I think the case for Inception over the Kings Speech is much stronger...
I thought Inception was ok, more visually amazing but I felt it was lacking in the themes/narrative as it didn't really resonate with me. I actually loved the Social Network from that year, it was a perfect blend of Fincher and Sorkin with a role that Eisenberg was born to play.

I would agree with you for the first 2/3rds or so of Interstellar, but man it fell apart near the end. There was no need to completely throw out science at the end because LOVE, I felt that really cheapened the ending. And Matt Damon was totally unnecessary imo. Aside from that, absolutely fantastic film.

I walked out kind of feeling the same way I did about Sunshine, another fantastic sci-fi film. If they just kept the conflict to humans vs nature/the universe, it would have been a much stronger film than injecting unnecessary human conflict into it.

You know you just declared war on @gourimoko, right?
