Rate the last movie you saw

And they're right .

I've seen more movies since I got movie pass two months ago than I did in the five previous years combined. I know I've gotten people to see stuff they otherwise would not have

yea, but the advertising base they want is running ads to their subscribers when they use the app. There doesn't seem to be a huge market there relative to the cost of the movie tickets they are giving away. It's like Uber giving free rides and trying to make the money back playing commercials on the app you use to book the ride. I can't imagine it will last long, but enjoy it while it lasts.

Last movie I went to, on the way there my daughter told me about someone who went to a movie a day for a year using movie pass. When they played the trailers, one of the movies looked really bad. I told her, "you have to see that movie too if you want to get in a movie every day".

:chuckle:

Finally saw Death of Stalin.

Incredibly funny.

Black Panther (I'm late and haven't seen Infinity War) 8/10. Good but I enjoyed Rangarok and Spiderman Homecoming more TBH

More or less how I felt about it. I think it got overhyped by the people on this board a bit, which probably impacted my thoughts on the film. Perfectly good comic book film, but I agree that I'd probably rank it behind Ragnarok, Homecoming, Guardians 1, Civil War, and Winter Soldier. It's like borderline top tier for a Marvel movie, but not quite there.

Visually it was fantastic, though.

Wait a second.. I was told you have certain incompatible world views if you thought Black Panther was overrated?

No, I told you that it was expected that you wouldn't like the movie; based on your expressed worldviews. That's based on observation of other people who share a particular overlapping ideological viewpoint and their dislike of the movie.

I never said I disliked the movie. Only that it was overrated, much like what was said here in the previous two posts that you didn't bother to respond to, but made it a point for me. We still aren't sure what these specific world views are exactly.

Who is "we?" I was talking specifically about your particular worldviews, Ty; no one else's.

But given that's a "political" conversation, I won't get into it any further unless you'd like me to.

I just wanted you to be specific since you made a bold claim. Certain world views is very generic.
