Draft Irvin with the first pick.Draft Barnes with the 2nd pick. Pretty sure we get a first from Kings/Warriors

PG-B.Davis/K.Irvin/D.Gibson
SG-C.Eyenga/M.Harris
SF-J.Henson/H.Barnes/K.Singler
PF-J.Hickson/S.Samuels
C-C.Kaman/A.Verajao/S.Erden

Henson is only starting cause he is a straight up athlete with size, giving Barnes a smoother easier transition if needed.

Most of our scoring will come from the point and the pivot!
You guys may not like this but if the Big Cheat in south Beach fail,im using the TPE on #6
you never know! Forgiveness is a powerful thing!

All we needed was a point and a pivot!

I would much rather just send Jamison to Golden State for Beans and Wright without the other teams. Dorell Wright is becoming a very unique scorer.

And if we were to do that, I doubt we would get a pick added to that even though we are taking Beans bad contract.

OKC 2.0

K.Irvin/D.Gibson/N.Cole
C.Eyenga/D.Lighty/N.Smith
H.Barnes/D.Wright
J.Hickson/J.Henson/S.Samuels
A.Beadrins/A.Verajao/S.Erden

I think with all our assets ,we can grab all these guys!

1.get a pick for Jamison 1rst
2.get a pick for Davis 1rst
3.get a pick for Sessions 2nd
4.get a pick for Harris 2nd
5.get value on draft day from tpe

We still Keep Gib and Andy, thats perennial playoff and NBA finals experience
And we have to draft David Lighty!

I must be living in a different reality.

Its spelled "1st" ...not "1rst"

Give me a break guys! The trade will work when Davis is able to be traded again. One of the big issues with this board is everyone thinking they got it all figured out.In the end i just want to see this team back on top,so im done with negative responses on RCF,sometimes im so exited iI may misspell a word or two,but I know you guys are all perfect and not grammatically flawed!

Ya so quit wasting my time then.

Steph Curry has really been struggling the last couple weeks and Smart is now messing with his minutes. Things aren't good in Golden State. I'd like to see the Cavs offer the Clips' first rounder in this draft for Curry, assuming it doesn't hit in the top three. Curry running Scott's up-tempo offense should produce huge numbers.

I would love to get Steph Curry. He is a really underrated piece that might very well be traded soon...

I was curious whether we could use the Clip pick (if it falls beetween 8-14) to move up into the top 5. We could provide cap relief for a team in dire need (by using our TPE) and maybe get a solid piece in return. A quick idea I had would be maybe to the Kings for Cousins and the pick.
Cavs get
Cousins
1st (Derrick Williams)

Kings get
TPE or Andy to fill PF need
Clip 1st

It would be nice to add Cousins to this team going forward. I know he has been cancerous in the Kings lockerroom but I doubt the Kings sign off on a trade like this. But what do you guys think? Maybe move it to Minny for Be-Easy. We are desperate for wing scoring.

Cavs get
Michael Beasely
1st (Jonas V/ Harrison Barnes)

T'Wolves get
Clip 1st
TPE

I would rather use the TPE to get a 2012 or 2013 first. I'm just throwing out ideas.

I think the most important thing that the Cavs can do during this rebuilding period is to find players that compliment what Coach Scott is trying to implement here. He has successful past ventures with the Princeton offense. However, he does not have the correct personnel to run this offense efficiently for lengthy periods of time. So, it then falls on the front office to target players via trade and the draft that Coach Scott can utilize in his schemes to maximize their effectiveness.

I've done a little bit of digging regarding the Princeton offense in terms of its theories and applications. For example, the center is critical to the offense setup. Backcuts, motion, proper passing, and strong shot selection are just some of the components that make up this offense in general (and with respect to skills the center must have). As you can imagine the "Princeton" in Princeton offense implies that the players involved have good basketball IQs. Look at the center position this year and you could find a direct correlation to struggles that's been going on. Andy went down, neither Ryan or J.J. possess the tools or basketball IQ to consistently run through the Princeton offense at the center position.

If I wanted to target a center that is big, has a good basketball IQ, has good fundamentals, and is a good passer, I would look at someone like Greg Monroe. I would offer up J.J. and Manny to Detroit for Greg Monroe. There were talks about the Cavs using the TPE on Richard Hamilton in order to obtain another pick. I think that Richard Hamilton could fit in with this scheme as well because he is constantly moving (much like Ray Allen) and has good basketball IQ. I would offer up the OKC pick along with the TPE to get that pick from Detroit unprotected. These are just examples of what I'm talking about with targeting the proper personnel.

It also works the same way when we are looking at rookies this year via draft. In addition to a strong point guard (Kyrie Irving at #1), I would pay attention to players that have fundamental skills and high basketball IQ and good passing abilities - players like Terrence Jones at #8. He was a PG throughout early life and just grew a bunch in high school. So, again, a solid, versatile big man.

Most of these ideas are really...

Never-gonna-happen-ish!!!

You really think we can get Curry that way? Cousins? Hell, Micheal Beasley???
Davis will never be traded for that package! And we wont be able to draft Irving, Barnes and Singler!

Just waiting for someone to say we should get MJ out of retirement! This thread is nuts!

Teams are not going to give up young players on small contracts up as a salary dump for a pick.

Plus teams are going to want to keep them with the possibility of a new rookie scale with the new CBA.

The site was a lot better 6 years ago before all the dicks signed up, keep posting and don't let them get to you.
