Report: Bosh decides against returning to Toronto, will seek S&T

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hmm? Not sure I follow.

Gasol for Bosh would just be a sidegrade for LA. Is that what you mean? They legitimately get better with Bynum for Bosh, I think, but Toronto wouldn't do that if they have any common sense because Bynum can't even stay healthy.

Bynum is the perfect player that the Raptors need next to Bargs. He is big, tough and can rebound. He also plays low post which they desperately need.

I doubt that happens tbh. The Lakers already are paying Bosh to play on their team. Without Bynum their defense becomes half of what it was this year because they don't have someone to patrol the paint like Bynum does. Also Odom misses out on a lot of playing time if Bosh goes to LAL. And the worst part is i guarantee that Bosh would not get half of the shots that he deserves so he will become mad, either that or Kobe doesn't get his shots and we know what happens when Kobe doesn't get his shots. Or Gasol doesn't get his, it doesn't matter somebody is not going to get their deserved shots and that will lead to them being unhappy.

True.

Kobe, Gasol, Bosh...nobody will be getting as many shots as they should be, tbh.

But he can't. Stay. On. The. Court. Didn't the Raps beat writer even say he would pass on Bynum for this very issue?

Maybe, but it isn't his decision. I would welcome Bynum in Toronto, at least it would give the fans something, anything to be excited for. Bynum has potential to be a dominant force if only he could stay healthy. It would be nice to see him in a Raptors uniform, and IMO the Raptors would be a better team next year with Bynum instead of Bosh. Bosh is infanitely better as a player, but Bargs and Bosh play way to similar for their front court to work, and it is not like Duncan/Robinson where both guys were great defenders. They need a good defender that can actually bang down low with the better centers in the league, Bargs is improving, but he is still kind o "meh" in that regard.

Which brings us back to the Lakers...does replacing Bynum with Bosh even make them better? If we know this, how the hell could THEY not?

Bosh and Gasol seems like too much of the same thing. Plus whoever plays the 5 would be overmatched.

I don't know how they couldn't. But maybe they are ready to move on with Bynum if they fail in the finals this year.

The thing is with Bynum and Gasol together you don't really have either guy willing to be the stretch big. Bosh can be a stretch big next to Gasol and the offense would be unbelievable. The defense would be soft but tall and manageable with versatile players like Odom and Artest.

If Bynum was everything they hoped he would be they could trade Gasol for Bosh lol.

I don't want Bosh on the Lakers, I want him on the Cavaliers.

/obvious fucking opinion

While I would prefer Bosh would be in Cleveland, but if he went to LA it would not exactly bother me very much. IMO it would vastly improveo ur chances to beat LA.

If Bosh went to LA it would make their front line soft again. LeBron would make quick work of Pau and Bosh inside.

The Lakers would make a big mistake, IMO, if they traded Bynum for Bosh. With a move like that you force Gasol to primparily play the Center position. Gasol is the most talented post player in the league, he will score points. However, with him at the 5 position, other teams will score EASILY against the Lakers.

A Gasol/Bosh frontcourt would be weak on the defensive end of the floor. Remember that Ron Artest and Kobe will be another year older, so it's not like they can cover up some weaknesses. The Lakers already struggle with quick point guards, with Gasol at the 5, that nightmare matchup will get even worse for L.A.

Obviously I would love Bosh next to Lebron, but I also honestly believe that a defensive minded center would be just as important next to those two guys.

I'd be suprised if Toronto still wanted Bynum. That many knee injuries at such a young age paints a horrible picture for the future, especially on a team where he'd end up playing more minutes gthan any of his teammates.

Miami and New York are still my picks for Bosh. But if LeBron stays and Amare or Booxer go to Miami...things change.

According to Cavfagnatic, we could do this trade lol lol lol:chuckles:

Cleveland Recieves: Chris Bosh, Hedo Turkoglu, Corey Maggette, Ronny Turiaf

Golden State Receives: Wally Szerbiak and the #13 overall pick (Tor):chuckles::chuckles:

Toronto Receives: #6 overall pick (GSW), JJ Hickson, Anderson Varejao, Delonte West, Sebastian Telfair, Anthony Paker, and Cleveland 2011 2nd round pick and 2012 first round pick

You don't need a "stretch" PF when you have two 7 footers, the last thing you want is one of these guys hanging out 20 feet from the basket. The way Gasol and Bynum play now is fine, Bynum just can't stay healthy. Im sick of the whole "stretch 4" too, it really worked out well with Jamison..you win in the paint not with jumpshooting bigs.

I actually do not see that being too bad for GSW. They get rid of CM's horrible contract and only drop back 7 spots in a weak draft where the 6th and 13th pick is not too big of a difference.

Big time cap relief for GSW and they still get a lotto pick.

Toronto OTOH is getting a GREAT trade. They get JJ, AV, 3 ending contracts, 2 1sts rd picks AND get rid of Hedo's horrible contract.

Way too much for Toronto IMO.
