Honestly.. the more times I see The Force Awakens the less I like it.. That's the opposite with ROTS and TPM, but the same as AotC. I think AotC had tremendous potential that was just ruined.
Having seen Rogue One and realizing what can be done with Star Wars on film; I wouldn't mind if they just redid the fucking prequels with the exact same story, just new direction - but my only fear is JJ Abrams getting anywhere near the fucking project.
Rogue One, to me, pretty much seals the deal on The Force Awakens AND the Prequels; both of which took a hit in my eyes yesterday - and you know I actually like the prequels and I originally liked TFA until I didn't. Now both have become less valuable to me, somehow..
I'm not saying the mainline stories should emulate Rogue One because the movie is really dark; but, Star Wars can be done well and without an abundance of commercialization or camp.
