The 2014 Cavs Off-Season Thread (not coaching-related)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
C.J. or Darius?

I do agree on Hayward being the type of player who might be willing to sign here though. Midwest kid, close to home, etc.

Oops, I meant to put Bennett there instead of Miles. I had CJ on the brain as well, as I'm hoping we re-sign him.

Without looking at the cap or salaries or trade rules-

How feasible is a trade involving Deng/TT for Parsons/Asik? Or even Hayward/Kanter...but not sure either center would want to be Embiid's backup.

Based on the progress of Zeller this past year I think he's good enough to serve as the backup center. Drafting Embiid would seem to make Hawes redundant, although I suppose the Cavaliers could opt to keep him over Zeller. Still, Hawes is going to command a pretty decent pay day- I'm guessing around $8M per year.

Parsons is not getting away from Houston. They declined his option, so he would be restricted this offseason and they would have the ability to match any offer.

I don't want Kanter, Houston doesn't want Thompson, and Asik doesn't want to back up a rookie.

I hope Deng or Melo goes to the Rockets because we can grab Parsons easy.

I think Parsons is a better fit than Deng on the Rockets, and if they sign Melo, Parsons would still be a great fit. I really don't think Parsons is going to be leaving Houston.

Thanks, glad to of found this place:)

Ahhh it warms my heart to newer users helping out really new users :chuckles: Be glad this Is the only place anywhere where you can find smart, fun, and usually real Cavs or mostly basketball discussion. If I could I would do a commercial about this board :king:

Were the only team that would pay Hawes anywhere near 8 million and Hawes knows it

Wont be Houston's choice. If someone wants to shell out the money Houston will have to let him go

I am happy about this. I know it is only highlight videos, but I like what I have seen and think he is a good fit for what we need.
