I'm not sure why everyone is sleeping on the Lakers. I know they stumbled down the stretch, but if any team can juice it up for the playoffs, it's them. Plus you have a young, first-time in the playoff team coming to Staples. Not the easiest way to work into a comfort level. If Staples is anything like most NBA arenas, it will be a much different environment then they played in a month or two ago.

I think this could be a pretty good series.

Bynum really came through. His non-adjusted (for minutes played, etc; PER is the adjusted number) efficiency was 24, behind only Gasol and Westbrook of OKC (both of whom played like 8-9 minutes more than did Bynum).

Gasol's and Westbrook's non-adjusted efficiency was 29.

Durant and Kobe, because of their shooting, each had a non-adjusted efficiency number of 10.

No, I don't think they'll win. They might not even win one game in the series. But saying that this series is going to be easy is insulting to the Thunder and flat out wrong.

Ah ok. Yea I never thought it would be easy, esp. not with the way we finished off the season (one word to sum it up would be pathetic).

I don't get many opportunities to say this about the Lakers but they were a real class act by honoring Hearn with a retired jersey and statue. I hope the cavs do something similar for Joe Tate.

I'm a logical Lakers fan. I call it like it is. Where most Laker fans think they will hit that switch and they will sweep the Thunder, I will be happy to get out of this series injury free with a 4-3 margin. I said the Lakers will win the series but it will be a lot harder than most people think.

(1) these are kids, athletic kids with nothing to lose.
(2) they are a great defensive team. they fly all over the place and as long as you have good defense, you're in every game.....
(3) they have a great scorer
and
(4) they didn't win 50 games by luck. A lot of the them were on the road.....\\I love how OKC is playing. I loved watching them play the entire season and continue to look forward to it. Great young team.
