The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I am sorry but LoZ Breath of the Wild has this to face for Game of the Year. with Nioh and Nier Automobile. I feel PS5 (Persona five) is amazing. Get this game as soon as you can. It really has all American characters so no Lord Mar this is not a sexy Jap girl RPG it is so better than that. Lady Ann is my new crush.

When does it start getting fun? I mentioned upthread that I'm an hour or so in, and I quite literally fell asleep while playing.

Just a heads up to anyone interested...Remedy's Alan Wake will be pulled from sale soon due to an expired music license agreement that they were unable to renew. It's currently on sale for three bucks on Steam until Monday, so now's as good a time as any to grab it. It was a pretty cool survival horror game with some neat mechanics and a great setting.

The spin-off/sequel American Nightmare will not be impacted, although you can buy the bundle that includes both games for four dollars.
I already own it, but I bought it for my brother so that he wouldn't miss out.

Heh -- I just got that yesterday. I hate paying full price for games -- honestly can't think of the last time I did that. I usually wait until the price comes down, and I do look for sales on steam. Never played Alan Wake before, but the reviews are great and to get the original and the expansion for less than four bucks is a deal.

Actually, another good thing about waiting for games is that there is a much better chance your rig will be able to run it at high settings. Just way less frustration all around, and since there are plenty of good games out that....

I just like being a cheap bastard when it comes to games.

Given how fast games tend to drop in price after release, that's a smart strategy unless you really, really want to play a new game.

That said, a lot of the best games these days tend to be indie releases that are twenty bucks or less when they launch, which is a lot more palatable than sixty.

Is there ever going to be an Ori 2? Seriously one of my favorite games ever.

Judging a game after and hour is like taking a regular season by LeBron serious. It gets good when you keep getting closer to the main "Prize"

Do you mean Ori and the Blind Fortress I think? I played a hour of that game and it was very good. I tried it out and Stardew Valley at the time time. Stardew Valley won my interest but by no way Is Ori and the Blind forest a bad game and I need to go back to it.

10000% agree. One of the best platformers ever. Basically a moving painting with a great soundtrack and great mechanics.

Fair enough. I just needed reassurance that it would get fun at some point. Some games never get there.

I think you and @Chris would really enjoy Child of Light if you haven't played that one yet.

Child of Light is a good one. Great art style and the turn-based combat is fun.

Haven't played Ori yet. It's on my wishlist. Regardless, game only came out what, like two years ago? Still plenty of time for a sequel.

Feels older than that for some reason. Still, "Ori and the Will of the Wisps" was rumored last year but we havent heard shit since. Nothing official.

Probably better that they're taking their time on it rather than rushing it out to meet a publisher demand, though.

Shut the fuck up Jack, I want it and I want it now so I can add it to the 5-6 games I have sitting by my Xbox that range from two weeks old to two years old that still need to be beaten.
