Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Running Tristan in early off the bench was cool followed by Channing. I think hey need to run 10 guys. That was natural and really hard for the jazz to adjust to. Had to watch TT rolling and then Channing comes in and nails some 3s and they are going full speed the whole time.

Looked devastating. It seemed like the kept the bench in longer in the first half. TT totally has a role here and him and green at pf was a great 1-5 switching lineup. If Green can hit some 3s from the corner, that athletic lineup with the green korver TT LeBron Cedi I was sick defensively. They could not score

He's out again tomorrow after playing 7 mins.

Is he fully recovered or playing with injury?

Just recovering from a moderately serious injury slowly but surely. On a pretty strict minutes limit. Looked good tonight in those 7 minutes.

Cavs want to make sure he's 10000% with no setbacks before he goes back to playing more minutes and b2b's.

When you win 16 out of 17, you definitely have the luxury of making sure guys are 100%.

Really hope Lue keeps it up with these mix and match lineups, and they aren't just an artifact of having injuries. My views on his ability to manage lineups are really starting to totally turn around from last year. It's been clear from early on that this team's strength was in its depth, and he has been using it really well and apparently consciously trying to add to it by developing Cedi.

I hope this keeps up when IT and Shumpert return and TT is fully back. (On the other hand I kind of hope DRose gets buried beneath the bench, but that is mean).

Utah was taking advantage of old guys. Nice to see the Cedi, Green, TT lineup challenge their athleticism

Totally agree about managing the lineups. I love Lue does not have a rotation set in Stone. Going with the hot hand is one of his strengths

Should stay at 14 for ever. Korver is being so effective right now mainly because they no longer help off of TT... so we eighter get a misamtch inside if they switch or Korver is open for a 3 at the top.

TT shouldn't take Frye's spot as a regular with the 2nd unit and if Frye can't play against GSW i'd rather play Green at the 5.

Zero rebounds in fifteen minutes tonight. Poor defense inside (remember Beal getting by him twice). Kills our spacing whenever he is in.

Bleh.

He looks out of shape, which makes sense.

We need to keep getting him minutes so that we can package him with Shumpert and Rose in a trade.

Committed $16.4 million to him this year, $17.5 million next year, $18.5 million the year after that :(

Untradable contract.

Numbers seem to indicate he is make an impact defensively. Though not sure if it's worth the negative difference offensively.

I think TT has a legit place on this team, but not as entrenched as he was previously. More situational. Also needs time to gel with different units.

Cavs could get off of Tristan's money tomorrow if they wanted to. There are at least 3-5 teams that would trade for him with the intent of playing him regularly,

Not gonna get a haul for him but if the Cavs wanted to trade TT to get off his money for 3 years(they dont want to), they could.
