Tyronn Lue has been fired

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
To be fair last year during the whole blatt issue I thought lue was a weasly little snake. Like a "friend" who creeps on your girl hoping you break up.
At the end of the day tho we won the title so I didn't give a shit.

I wanna see what happens come playoff time. There were a lot to of people freaking out about Lue last year, and then the playoffs came and our offense came out of their shell and murdered everyone and we weren't great but we were average enough defensively to win.

We'll see. He's certainly earned some criticism, but there's also massive overreaction going on.

I actually thought Lue was very classy about the whole situation, as classy as one could.be given what was going on. He refused to sign an extension during the season ( ended up being a good financial move too, but it was very risky at the time..), and was very vocal about feeling for Blatt. I can't criticize him for that. It was all on the players.

Edit: I didn't mean to hit disagree on that post, I meant to reply , I took the rating away.

I can agree that the way he handled the aftermath of it was a master piece and executed flawlessly But the whole soap opera leading up to it seemed So deliberate and vile I can't imagine how toxic the team culture must have been

Agree, but like I said, I can't put any of that on Lue. It was mostly LeBron.

It was kind of a situation where the hot girl (Bron) is ready to divorce her husband because he's a dick, has a huge ego, and can't back it up in bed(Blatt "I'm not a rookie"...*proceeds to try and call non existent timeout in playoffs, compares NBA coaching to fighter pilots, and almost ruins Kevin Love) and she didn't wanna marry him in the first place(wanted to play for a former player). So she basically started cheating on him (always going to Lue behind the scenes), rallied her whole family against him(turned the lock room anti-blatt) until it got so bad that her dad(Griff) just had the husband assassinated so his daughter would be happy and reach her full potential.

I can dig that and the way you put it was artful. Still its a off scenario.
Just the way everything want is just bad.
And we don't even have the insider info.
That's why I've always thought having lbj on the team was a double edged sword.
Yea he is an absolutely amazing player but all the backstage politics are crazy.

I'll take whatever bad comes with it though, because we are the Champs, and it was all.worth it, lol.

Yea I agree at the end of the day the Cavs won a title during my and my grandmas lifetime so all that other nonsense goes out the window and watching those finals was amazing as a ohio born and raised Cavs fan.
As a person looking at it from the outside the whole blatt thing was unsightly. But the fact that we as a ohio major league team won a major title.
Nothing else matters.

At this point I just hope Lue tries to get Lebron some rest before the playoffs, either get him games off or stop playing him 40 mins a night. It's not defensible and we are running him into the ground and still on track to lose the 1 seed.

Get him rested and who cares about the seeding, LBJ has won a road playoff game in every series of his career - I'll roll with that over a gassed LBJ.

I thought that super small lineup in the third quarter was really really bad and I hope he does not plan on using that in the playoffs.

At some point he has to give Liggins another look. Defense on opposing PGs in the East will go a long way towards winning . GS is different because Curry isn't explosive to the rim he just dances on the perimeter like the fairy he is. But for Wall, Thomas, etc....I think you have to give Liggins a shot. Change things up on them, keep those guys on their heels.

:chuckle:

I laughed sooooooo hard at this! Hehe!

Lue was asked about the midget lineup we used the passed two nights with LeBron at the 5 and why it didn't work tonight. He said rebounding, but that we had something we just couldn't use yet that will fix it, with a big smile on his face. He was then asked what that was, and said he forgot.

So it seems he is experimenting with some odd lineups but he really isn't showing his hands for the playoffs.
