Tyronn Lue has been fired

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Also last year Lebrons Minutes actually went down significantly from 1st Round to Second and EFC.. From like 42 against Det to 37 against ATL and 36.6 against TOR.. so if we finally actually have flipped the switch and have some blowouts.. Lebrons minutes will go down automatically.

I wouldn't hold your breath on that, honestly.

So you are 100% certain our Team has played there best basketball already and under no circumstances we can achieve last years level where we blew out ATL and TOR ?

You just jumped over an ocean to get from point A to point B.

First of all, if the Cavs play like they did in the first round in the upcoming rounds, they will lose games and potentially even the series. So I don’t think anybody is saying we’ve been playing our best basketball already, because if that’s the case we might as well go home now because we won’t get very far.

Just like we can play better, other teams can too. So yeah I wouldn’t count on very many blowouts going forward. We need to get better just to even maintain our current pace.

Are there any party pictures at Lue's residence floating around

Just sort out the rotations in a way James is not dead with 5 mins left in the 4th quarter. It's very weird that the guy can't realize something so obvious.

It's probably been the main cause of the drop off that happened in all 4 games and had been happening also during the regular season.

It's time to make a change to this 2nd unit.

I think Frye is the problem...he can't play Center at all...his defense is so bad...not an accident the bleeding stopped when TT subbed in for him...

Going forward we need to consider playing RJ and running LeBron at the 5 in the 2nd unit lineup.

Tonight might be further evidence that we keep our cards to our chest in the season. That or he can't be arsed to put this much level of detail into our defensive plans in the regular season. Doesn't help that Dwyane casey runs a freelance offense. That's the easiest type to slow down

At the least it's evident in the offensive sets. Some of those sets tonight were just beautiful. @Chris Parker has been saying all season that Lue saves plays and sets for the playoffs.

Everything about Lue is simple to understand now

- Not really a regular-season coach (in terms of maxing-out team then)
- Relies on:
.......................Cavs offense
.......................Defensive adjustments for the postseason
.......................Higher defensive effort/focus in the postseason (so go easy on guys in regular season)

This is what Lue is, and I like it.

His defensive schemes might not be genius, but they work and slow down the opponent enough so that our strong offense can get the job done.

If we win the championship I will gladly remove this avatar.

Well, that makes LeBron vulnerable to foul trouble. Unless you expect him to play cupcake defense and not contest anything. I don't like it, LeBron hates banging down there as is.

Lue with another good game-plan out of the gate. Took away Toronto strengths. Our offense was humming all night.

Is that take allowed in here yet? Or is he still the worst coach of all-time in here?

He's been excellent in the playoffs, and last year as well.

Not only was his game-plan great out of the gate tonight, but he's been extremely effective with his mid-series adjustments in every single series we've had him as our HC. Most notably Golden State last year, but he was awesome against Indiana as well.

We played the pick and roll perfectly tonight with the trapping and switching/scrambling. Toronto was reeling because DeRozan couldn't easily get into that mid-post area and Lowry couldn't get easy penetration.

Side note: Norman Powell is a really nice player. Kudos to the Raps for developing him.
