Tyronn Lue has been fired

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Can't believe he's relying on the "Play LeBron more" method.

Newsflash that shit isn't going to work in the finals.

I'd rather they commit to a 38 minute restriction and see what happens instead of continuing the insanity of having a drained LeBron in the finals.

Lue really thinks LeBron is Kobe when he played with him...you know in his early 20s.

Is "Playoff Lue" still a thing? lol

I mean I see the defense has definitely picked up, but how much of that is Lue, and how much of it being that in the Playoffs scoring is usually down due to teams having more time to gameplan specifically to an opponent?

Some of it is pace too. Can you imagine a series that is faster with this level of defense? Probably won't happen, but some of our guys might die. I think JR, Korver, and Lebron need more rest. I only see one way you can make that happen.

Kyrie did lose us the first 2 games of 16 and 17 Finals getting hunted down and scored on.

Over 7 games, Kyrie was the second-best player on the floor in 2016-17 against the Warriors going up against Curry, Klay and Green. He won us a title.

Oladipo is probably the best help defender at the 2 in the league

Sure, I suppose...

I'd definitely rather have Oladipo. He is healthy a lot and he defends. He is playing in the 2018 playoffs for one.

There's not a chance I would take Oladipo over Kyrie Irving... You swap Oladipo onto the 2016-17 Cavs and we'd still be without a title.

VO couldn't have gone off the way Kyrie did, through consistent double-teams, past Curry and Klay -- there's just no way.

Put Oladipo on that team and we likely lose in 5 or 6. With Kyrie, we beat an historically great team in 7.

That's because we would have been overloaded at SG without a PG, not because Kyrie is an overall better or more valuable player than is Oladipo. But I'd still do that trade right now in a heartbeat, and worry about balancing the roster later.

George Hill and Oladipo is better than Kyrie and JR to me

I agree, although neither Hill nor Oladipo is really a PG. That pairing would transform our defense fundamentally, and while Oladipo doesn't have the isolation ability of Kyrie, he is still good enough to be a second option as an iso player. And both are good enough threats from long-distance that they'd keep a defense honest.

It's because we'd have had no dynamic scorer who could create and produce as many points as Kyrie could while double-teamed.

Again, if you swap these two players (James is playing point regardless, BTW), then the Cavs likely lose in 5 or 6.

But I'd still do that trade right now in a heartbeat, and worry about balancing the roster later.

If you mean in the context of the Boston trade that we made; then yes, of course -- Kyrie for Oladipo is better than what we ended up with, that's for damn sure.

Dipo was the only reason why Indiana didn't win last nights game. He had a bad shooting night. Guy has developed as a nice 2 way player all star. Effing late bloomer. Lebron would take him for the Nets pick.
