Tyronn Lue has been fired

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So brutal criticism of Lue from one of his former player proves that those criticizing Lue are wrong?

It would be one thing if Kyrie had been shitcanned from the Cavs, or had been known to bump heads with the coach. But when the criticism is this specific, and not being used as an excuse, it would seem to be fairly credible.

I think you misunderstood him. Or I misunderstood you. Or both.

Kyrie on Brad Stevens on the Bill Simmons podcast - “it’s such a relief to have a basketball mind like that... doesn’t forget plays, knows when the shift in the game happens... it was breath of fresh air talking to him.”

Kyrie just can’t stop shitting on Lue, gotta say he would’ve been a great member of the cLueLess clan thing we have going on here

I buy it. It would explain things like why a nine year NBA veteran like Hill during the first round of the post-season would tell the media he doesn't know what his role is.

It also emphasizes how historically brilliant LeBron/Kyrie were during that finals series.

I hate Lue as much as anyone here, but isn’t that an old quote? I thought I heard those exact words like 6 months ago.

Ty Lue for the first year of a tank makes sense... If we end up trading for the #4 pick and getting someone like Doncic while keeping #8 and perhaps getting Bamba or Trae Young, then I'd expect Lue to be fired immediately and a more Euro-compatible brought in.

I agree, but I really fear no one developing under this guy though.

The way he tanked Zizic and Cedi this year. I don't want this guy any where near our young players.

I fear they're going to bring him back no matter what though. I had that fear at the end of the year, when we went to the finals that it saved his job.

I think its gigantic mistake to bring him back regardless what happens personally.

Sadly, Dan's disaster hirings from before, and the fact he's still paying head coaches is going to probably force him to keep the worst one yet.

This guy is going to keep a really bad coach because he's still paying ones he's fired. SMH. What a disarray.

He's not still paying any former coaches. They both (Brown and Blatt) are off the books as of the end of the 2017-18 season.

It’s a new one from the recent Bill Simmons podcast, it is similar to something Kyrie said in the past though

Not really sure how you deducted that from what I said? I absolutely love Kyrie for saying this, it’s feels good having Kyrie shitting on this clueless bum ass coach.

Too bad the media are not doing it too for some unknown weird reason, but at least we’re all getting some sort of validation on everything we know Lue is from a guy who was on the inside with this idiot.

Sorry -- I though you were being sarcastic about the "cLueLess" thing. I'll go back and edit....

People will say it's crazy but Blatt I think would do really well in a rebuilding situation with young players, his issue was managing vets/star player egos. I like him better than any of the assistants on staff and with most of the other strong candidates hired (Fizdale, Casey, Budenholzer, etc.) we should at least consider it.

Blatt excels with disciplined and eager to learn players.
But he can also manage a loose cannon on the team that needs freedom and a longer leash. I think he could have won the ship with Bron. We gotta remember he was fired when he had the second best record, all during an alleged mutiny. So he can handle and succeed in these situations as well.
