I doubt the NFL would appeal any decision from Robinson. It's a bad look to contradict the expert deciding the matter and will undercut the disciplinary process and become a sticking point in future league labor contract negotiations. It will also invite a federal lawsuit by the NFLPA which will just keep the issue in the public eye for another year or more. And Watson can't appeal anything other than a very long suspension because it just goes to Roger to settle. His only cause for appeal would be as a preliminary move before a lawsuit. This independent arbiter of discipline is designed to discourage any appeal it would seem.
