Welcome Larry Sanders and So Long

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If lue plays the same players tonight I think I will explode.

I'm so detached right now that IDGAF. I was so invested earlier in the season but for what really? my life doesn't need any more stress.

Best ball of the season was with Liggins and then with Williams in the lineup. It was too good so we went away from it? I don't understand anything anymore.

Instead of showing trust in the players that were playing great, Ty Lue has crushed Liggins who was our best defender on the team and a huge part of one of the best lineups in the NBA, and now hes crushing Williams who was a part of our best bench unit that was murdering teams.

Now Lue and Griffin decided that we need to play this bum Deron as a spot up shooter, hard to admit you made a mistake but they need to get over their egos and do whats right for the team, the lineups being used right now are just bad, oh yea and Larry needs to fucking play already

Well, if he Deron doesn't play he is going to be a locker room problem. They know it.

Just as a reference point for Sanders' game stats above, here are Sanders' averages from his best season in the NBA (2012-13):

10/10/1 with 3 BS in 27 minutes per game

So, he's not far off of those marks right now. That's good. Of course, he's playing D-League competition and apparently his timing is still a bit off.

Sanders is a rebounder and shot blocker. That's all we need him for, and that's what he brings to the table. Once those qualities are back in place, then he should be good to go.

Did you watch the game? I think we need to bring him over and play him. Not because he is impressive right now, but because I think he might lose motivation if he stays in Canton for too long.
He recently twitted "I just wanna be there for the gang, they need me". I don't think any more games with Canton si going to help him other than frustrate an already weak mind.
His body language was worse in this game, he looked disinterested defending the paint and challenging shots in some occasions. He set some weak screens tonight aswell.
He looks great guarding the perimeter and he blocks shots on the perimeter against the ball handler simply by raising his arm. I see a lot of potential defending Curry on the perimeter with his long reach.

Canton are clearly better with him on the court too.
I don't really understand the timing issues criticism.. His timing is excellent after having watched TT try to block shots for so long.

Don't understand why we don't try to integrate him. He is ready to play in small spurts.

I did not get to see the last game, unfortunately.

Today is the last regular season game for Canton. Then they will play in the playoffs starting on April 5, I think.

When I watched Sanders in his 2nd D-League game, his timing was still off in terms of reaction speed on help defense and defensive rotations. But that will come from just playing more. But even with his timing possibly off, he still can block shots and rebound.

I can't wait until he comes over to the team to stay. My guess is that they'd rather he actually play in games with Canton then either sitting him on the bench all game (as is happening with Felder now) or else trying to integrate him into games when there are other issues to fix right now.

When Windy talked about Sanders on Hey Windy the other day, I think he mentioned a timetable of like 3 weeks for Sanders to get back into the flow. I don't think that was some kind of "hard" number that someone told Windy, but just a guess. I don't know how long the Charge will be in the playoffs, so Sanders might not get 3 more weeks at the D-League level even if some Cavs' executives think that might be best for him.

Charge have no chance without a legit PG.. No Cook or Felder for them so they might aswell forfeit. It looks like he added just a bit of mass, a tiny bit.

Cool. That means Larry should be coming on board sooner rather than later.

Good to hear Sanders is bulking up. He's one of those guys who gets skinny when he doesn't work out or play a sport.

Agree, the guards never look for him, and they take a lot of bad shots, so he's rarely involved with the play. He'd score just as much off of lobs alone if Charge players didn't care so much about showcasing themselves.

Yep, their guard play is an abomination. He was frustrated out there and I don't like it.
He needs something to play for, he needs competitiveness or else he will get bored and just start doing dumb shit.
If he feels he is ready (even if he is not) and doesn't get the opportunity to play he is going to become frustrated. That's just how the mind works.

That is one of the biggest issues of D-League. Team ball is just not as much of a thing down there. Players are tyring to showcase themselves, and that means those that rely on others to score, ie Centers and power forwards have a tendency to suffer.

I agree, maybe play the one more game for his conditioning and timing, but its time he gets some burn with the big boys too.

Dont know how much he can help till we try. Maybe its next season, but maybe, just maybe, he is ready for 15 mins of backup center time to relieve Tristan.

He seems to be up conditioning wise to playing 25+ Minutes in the Dleague so he should be fine playing 10-15 Minutes in the NBA.

I hope we give him a try soon.

I’m still worried that the D-League game is nothing like the NBA, so I don’t think playing down there is doing anything for him besides “getting him in shape”
