What do we do now?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Why because he was over paid before?

Now Pavs will probably be cheap and he can still shoot the ball (though I will admit frustrating... I swear Pavs is the only guy who shoots 40% or higher from the arc but I never see any of them being made) and LeBron even said... we needed more of his D for the Orlando series

Wally... well I would pay wally 1 million just to be the deep bench clutch shot guy

Oh yeah... come on CV31!

You have to remember its tricky to do a s&t because andy becomes andy becomes a bye. We could send him to atlanta for childress if atlanta is interested in him. Both would be bye so it makes sense. Another possibility is milwaukee for CV. In both, the other team has to be interested in doing the trade and i am not sure they would be.

Both Pavs and Wally had ample time to prove themselves to be useful and both failed to do so.

I wouldn't give either one of them over 1 million, and even then, they'd be buried on the bench.

I do agree with you that CV31 would be FANTASTIC!

See I think 1 million each is a reasonable salary for guys who have contributed but weren't worth what they were being paid.

Who realisticly is there for a million a pop outside of them? Prob not as many people of thier ability, knowlege of our system, work ethic (for wally), and filling a position we need.

I love McDycess for the BAE but just saying that spliting it between these guys (or just getting one of them) makes alot of sense for that price.

If we are going to move up high enough and we are going to draft a PG, I think Jonny Flynn is by far the most reasonable choice as far as "what do we do next" goes.

What about this idea?

Hickson+Kinsey+cash for Yi Jianlian and the 11th pick

The Nets get their inside PF to go alongside Brook Lopez, the Cavs get an outside shooting PF to go alongside Shaq. Hickson is younger and has a little more potential, the nets also save money on the deal, and that's what the 11th pick is for.

The deal doesn't quite work in the trade machine (off by like $100,000), but the contracts are all so small that I'm sure anybody with adequate knowledge of the cap would be able to work it out (sign and trade a 2nd year guy who can sit on the Nets bench or something)

Teams in that area have been trying to sell picks anyway, so we can get up there and then take Henderson/Williams/Derozan/Clark, which gives us a #4 on the perimeter. We can then use the MLE to get a starting 4 or can sign and trade AV, etc.

after trading ben&sasha i don't think we have the pieces to get another big time player like rip

I'm sure that you are right, unless it is a salary dump. If it is Z + JJ or something alon that lines could work.

I wonder who we could sign to the same contract, or similar contract as AV to do a S&T with???????? *Marion*

I wouldn't move JJ. We are going to need all the young, cheap players we can get for 2010.
