A lot of it depends on the other teams willingness to trade with us. We seemed to miss out on SJax even though we had an offer on the table for him, but the Bobcats just preferred the other trade so there was nothing we could do. It's the same with the Wizards, we might be able to offer them everything they need (salary cap) but if they choose another deal, it might not be because we didn't offer them enough but they just don't want to deal with us.
However, if I find out we don't get Jamison because we didn't want to part with JJ - I might explode. That will stay my firm position on the matter, and I'm not going to be changing it anytime soon or after the deadline - if we can get a guy like Jamison with letting JJ go, you do it.
So it's tough to answer - because if our main options don't go through and we're just talking about doing a trade just for doing a trade, I don't see the point in it and I think it has to be one of those big names that will greatly impact our team. It just boils down to who's willing to trade with us - and I seriously hope it's the Wizards.

Oh shoot; a trade will be made for sure. Make no mistake about it that "a trade" will be made. What trade is the big question.
I actually believe a trade will involve Z's expiring and a buyout and Z coming back. It will involve the Cavs pitching in bucks for that buyout, and I also think it will have to involve a Gibson along with it. I also think teams out there are waiting. They are hoping against hope the Cavs bite before the deadline and give up too much. Ferry will NOT do that. He will wait until the very end. The Cavs have the most to offer for a player like Jamison. Jamison WANTS to be a Cav. He would be happy as hell to get traded to the Cavs. For a player like him, that goes a long ways with the Wiz's ownership. They won't want to screw him. You can screw different types of players, but not a player and character as Jamison. It won't happen. A trade won't be made until Ferry makes that call about one minute before the deadline.

So, I guess that means you would be very, very pissed and upset if no trade is made.

I wouldn't be upset because the Cavs are already going to have the best record in the NBA again this year. Look at what happened to the Magic, making all kinds of ridiculous moves and now they're worse. The Magic are done, the Celtics are done. The only team that can beat us is the Lakers. If we make a move, it has to be with them in mind.

Don't agree with the first part. Well, I don't think they would win a championship but I wouldn't say it's guaranteed. I do agree with the second part though.

Oh, I wouldn't be "upset" at all. I just think a trade WILL be made. Do I believe they totally have to make a trade to win the title? Not necessarily. Do I think a trade will be made? Yes I do.
Further; I also think Leon Powe is going to surprise the league, and the Cavs. Jawad Williams will continue to improve and gain confidence. Those are two players the Cavs didn't count on at the start of the year, so both could be considered as added pieces anyway, without a trade being made. But I still believe a trade will be made.

What will my reaction be if Danny Ferry doesn't make a good trade at the deadline this year? That's easy.

I'd be pretty surprised honestly. I think Ferry knows that last year he didnt make the most of his opportunity with Wally's contract. So I look for the cavs to go hard after Jamison, West, and Murphy. I also look for the Cavs to keep track of wings who could become available. Kevin Martin, Rip Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince. I think we are being much too active to not make a trade.

I actually watch the games and "lol @" people who can't see the writing on the wall.
In all honesty, I wouldn't be too surprised. I would be pis*ed of though because it would solidfy the fact that we won't win a title.
Ferry has a habit of doing trades without giving much up AT ALL. Sometimes that philosophy can bite you in the ass (as in the case with Stephen Jackson).
I was one of the few people here last year who made it clear that if Wally wasn't traded we would not win a ring, and that is exactly what happened. IMHO, even getting role players like John Salmons and Brad Miller would have made a huge difference in the series against the Magic.
Ferry has trade chips (Big Z, Wally, Hickson, Delonte- partially guaranteed contract, teams looking to clear cap space for this summer would love Delonte's contract). Heck even Danny Green and Gibson should be trade assets.
I want to explain why it's so important for a trade to be made. Look at how Mo has played, he is PROVING why he can't be relied on to be the second option. If he plays like this against the Cetlics in the 7 game series do you think we beat them?? Lebron cannot beat the Celtics alone.
The same with the Lakers, if Mo doesn't step up we lose, its that simple.
Mo cannot be trusted. If he has his stretch of bad games in the conference finals or NBA finals we're screwed.
This team doesn't need a guy like Troy Murphy, it needs a guy like Jamison. Somone who can score without being set up by Lebron.
