Oh, I wouldn't be "upset" at all. I just think a trade WILL be made. Do I believe they totally have to make a trade to win the title? Not necessarily. Do I think a trade will be made? Yes I do.


Further; I also think Leon Powe is going to surprise the league, and the Cavs. Jawad Williams will continue to improve and gain confidence. Those are two players the Cavs didn't count on at the start of the year, so both could be considered as added pieces anyway, without a trade being made. But I still believe a trade will be made.

I share the same optimism for both scenarios, but would be awfully disappointed if we didn’t make an improvement in some form. When you are that sure that a trade is going to happen it's hard to accept if it doesn't...

I think we should trade him too, but getting Z back after a buyout is also something we need to do. His length is valuable against teams like L.A.

Disapointed just like last season. We have one of the best trade chips in the NBA, why not utilize it while we an. I believe that every hance you have to upgrade your team is one that needs to be done. Ferry will most likely make a deal this year, his job and LeBrons future may depend on it. Do we really want no young players on this roster, and with the possibility of Z retiring, and Shaq not returning we need a viable option at at least one spot on the roster.

Well, last year at this time I didn't think Ferry would make a trade; he didn't. This year I think he will make a trade......... for what it's worth. At the same time I don't believe a trade is necessary for the two reasons/pieces I wrote about.

Let me clarify; last year Ferry knew Delonte West was wanted by most teams in a trade. I know Shaq would have involved Sasha and West and Wally's expiring. That was a big NO way. Ferry offered Sasha and Ben and Wally's expiring. No trade occurred. This year Ferry has more options to play with that other teams want. West will NOT be included again however. Hickson or Gibson and Z's expiring might be included.. or just the expiring. Any trade will include a buyout for Z and coming back in a month. If not, NO trade will happen.

Ahh yes, the writing on the wall. I'm surprised actual Celtic and Magic fans (aka those who watch nearly every game...) aren't in panic mode right now because of the writing on the wall!

The only important factor of the regular season is getting HCA. Aside from that it doesn't matter and it doesn't indicate a teams ability come playoff time. Both Boston and Orlando will be ready come the playoffs and I sure hope we don't have to go through both to get to the Finals.

Without question. Either they'll play better with someone in there that can hit all the shots that Z has been missing most of the year, or we'll realize that the Cavs actually need him out there.

For someone that's as frustrating at times as Z, a little break could be good for everyone. He's like that boring girlfriend in college that you know is actually good for you in some fashion, but that you're just not ready to settle down with. :chuckles:

I do expect a trade and will be disappointed if one isn't made. I also want the right trade made and if one doesn't get done will have trust that the right deal that worked well for the Cavs wasn't available.

The Cavs could use help but even a little help makes a difference come playoff time. I'm not putting everything on Jamison or bust. Like to get him here but I'm not ready to overpay to get him or think that he would bring a guaranteed championship(s).

It takes 2 teams to make a trade. Although the signs point to an atmosphere where deals should get done, there are no guarantees.
I trust Ferry and the Cavs organization. If there isn't a trade done than it will be because the deals we thought would be there weren't and the cost was higher and didn't make sense both now and for the near future.
