I'd be upset because I truly think the Cavaliers need an offensive minded PF.

The Cavs are almost unstoppable when they score 100+ and adding another true scoring threat to a position where we lack effective scorers would be great.

Agree with a lot of people on this one. On nights where Mo is hot giving you 20+ points we never lose. On the nights that Mo isn't hitting shots and a guy like Jamison shouldered some of the load we would win the games in the same manner. I love Mo, he is my favorite Cav, but he is streaky. When he's on: look out because he's one of the deadliest shooters in the league. If the defense has to worry about another 20+ pt per game scorer in our lineup then I would think that Mo and AP's consistency would go up because the D loosens up a bit. Either way I want Jamison because he is a competent player. The dude just knows how to put the ball in the hole and that is something we are sorely lacking. With Powe coming back and potential Jamison in the line-up, I really like our chances against the Lakers and their shallow bench.

Jamison does concern me a bit defensively. Its not that I am worried that he isnt about the same defensively as JJ, its that he would get almost twice the minutes and limmit our more effective defensive players like z or andy. If mb would use either andy or shaq with Jamison at all times i am fine. That leaves a defender for the rim, and makes us very versitile.

Now that I think about it, if we add Jamison, Z doesnt get any minutes if healthy even if he comes back, so I am fine with it. :chuckles:

I would be somewhat upset. Not because it would hurt our chances for a championship cause I think this team can do it as presently constructed (I'm very optimistic that Leon will be factor come play-off time though admittedly that's a long shot ). I just think that when you have assets that other teams want (i.e. Z's expiring) and can get Z back after a buy-out, you can't let those assets go to waste. At the very least, we should be able to get some long-term benefits (picks, projects etc)

Of course, I reserve the right to change my vote if we get whooped by the Lakers on Thursday.

Frankly, this isn't a realistic thread. Ferry will make a deal. I suspect he could get Murphy or perhaps even Jamison right now if he were willing to "overpay". We are know Ferry likes to get the most out of every deal and obviously is not going to make a move until he gets a deal he likes or can live with. At this time, I suspect there are more things on the burner than just the usual two suspects (Murphy and Jamison) and until something breaks on one of those dals Ferry is not going to pull the trigger on anything. I suspect Ferry could get Murphy for Z and JJ right now..maybe even Jamison.
