Will Cavs make run at Bosh this summer?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Is it realistic to move 4 players just to reach $12 million expiring? Or whatever it is?
Not necessarily 4, but 3 would be doable, especially because Telfair would essentially be a $2.7M throw-in.

AP is old as hell, Telfair is a throw-in, plus one of Delonte/Moon should be moved if possible IMO. It might not net us a "superstar" but we could get a legit starter.

It'd be significantly easier if Green develops quickly and we use the whole MLE this off-season as well.

I like the balance of Power right now. LeBron is going to stay here, I hope Dwayne Wade stays in Miami and maybe they sign a decent players like Boozer, I hope Bosh stays in Toronto, Hawks better offer Joe Johnson a good deal. This way, our team is still on top, Knicks get Nothing, we would still have the same chance of winning the championship.

Am I the only one who doesn't think Bosh is worth a max contract, especially from the Cavs?

Judging by the Amar'e lovefest from this past week, I'm guessing that I might be one of 10 people on here who doesn't want the Cavs to acquire Bosh...

And 10 might be pushing it.

Bosh is even better than Amare, possibly...both are really damned good and a max contract might be overpaying a LITTLE bit..but when you're Dan Gilbert you do it all day every day. One of them teamed with LBJ is just ridiculously awesome IMO.

I think Bosh is absolutely worth a max contract. Amare is very good on the Suns, but he needs a good point guard to set up pick-and-rolls for a large part of his offense. And he doesn't play defense. Bosh, on the other hand, is clearly the best on his team, and his team is in the playoff mix. Yea, the East is much easier past the first 4 than the West, but he's still one of the top 3 PFs in the league today, if not the best. In a couple years I don't think there will be any question that he's the best.

I don't see how we can bring in anyone of this caliber now, I literally don't see how it's possible. It's why I wasn't thrilled about the Cavs trading for Jamison, it looks like this is the team we got for the next couple seasons and we have to put faith in JJ's development.

But I think Danny Ferry always has a plan, and I don't think he'd be so blind-sighted to risk the entire future on JJ Hickson becoming a star. I don't see how we really have any attractive pieces to use this summer or next season, but he must have some ideas.

Personally, I'd love to see us somehow able to revisit Iguodala this summer, or Rudy Gay in a s/t, but I just don't think it's possible.

I agree isn't not very likely.... but it certainly is possible. Remember, Bosh is a free agent and has all the control.

If he tells Toronto he wants to go to Cleveland they don't have a choice (unless they would rather let him walk and get nothing)!

i have a sneaky feeling this is slowly becoming that thread.

Then I will delete my posts. I am not getting my hopes up again. I learned my lesson last year, this year just reinfored that feeling. All the Cavs fans that want to waste time posting about something that may not happen, go right ahead but I will be chillen in another thread.

They can have anyone other than lebron mo and av....It would be amazing to get bosh but it seems unrealistic...We'll just have to wait and see

But wouldnt we be signing Z to a 2 yr contract after he is bought out? So he would be an expiring next yr

Bosh is staying in Toronto. The Heat will likely sign Carlos Boozer to appease Dwayne Wade. Nash and Amar'e to NY?

I'm sorry, but if you can get Bosh, Wade, Durant, Rose, or any other superstar you jump on it even if it means trading away Mo or AV. They're not untouchable.

I thought Bosh has already stated that he doesn't want to play second fiddle to anyone else. That he wants teams to build around him.
