Wizards/Suns screw Magic - great DP scene

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What are you talking about? All NBA teams have superstar squads now by my count - Boston, LA, Miami, Chicago, Miami, and probably NY Knicks in the near future. That covers everyone.

Sincerely,
David Stern

Let's be clear here, there is nothing that is beneficial to have a superstar team located in Miami. Small market with a not so very rabid fan base. Stern would have MUCHED preferred had LBJ and Wade joined up in New York.

I don't see the Orlando first round pick involved in this trade as originally reported:

http://www.nba.com/news/transactions/2010_11/index.html

If the pick was indeed left out of the Phoenix trade, I could see Orlando firming up the front line with a TPE + this year's #1. Hey, have you seen the greatness of Ryan Hollins this year?

Actually, I'd be happy if the Magic went after Varejao. Hollins. . . not so much. But having Varejao/Camby to get minutes at PF and C would be great, although I have this strange feeling the team ends up with Oberto or Battie.

Starting lineup tonight is:

Nelson/JRich/Hedu/Black/Howard with Hibachi coming off the bench.

Hollins isn't a bad little player but he'd better suit you if he had a mid range game with (which he doesn't) Howard taking up all the paint time.

Andy would be an awesome fit for any team under any system but we would need a big in return to replace him. In other words, we'll be happy to take Howard off your hands...

What made the Magic so devastating that one year was having both Rashard and Hedo paired with Pietrus and Lee who were all tall enough to cause huge math-up problems. What has me concerned about this trade is it seems a little Isiah-like in that the Magic just seem to be accumulating contracts and guys past their primes that dont really fit in a system. But I think the Magic are now going to try to win a different way with a much more traditional but talented line-up. Getting rid of Vince is always a plus as well. I agree though that the Magic had to try to do something, its such a huge turnover that it might not be until the end of the year that this roster shows what it can do, but early enough that the team should be able to peak by playoff time.

Lee and Pietrus never caused match up problems, let alone math-up problems. . . although I did hear that Hedo was a renowned math scholar back in his country.

The Magic are looking like a well oiled covered duck in the golf coast...

Oh how I miss the days of Hardaway dropping back to back 40's on the Heat with Rony Seikaly and his hairy legs holding down the post...

Magic fans were weak in the knees after hearing about this trade, wait never mind that was Arenas.

None of the players from the Magic have played for their other teams yet I just noticed....

And of course I am not insensitive to the oiled animals in the gulf... :chuckles:
