I don't really think so, mainly because I don't trust the health of a lot of the guys (particularly Jamison, AV, Boobie, and Baron). But still even if they were healthy, I don't really see who they'd jump. Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, Boston, and New York are all locks for the playoffs. Orlando is too if they don't trade Dwight and he stays healthy. Philly and Indy should be just as good next year, if not better. New Jersey is going to be better with a full season of D-Will, and there is a chance that they trade for Dwight too (in which case ORL would fall out of the playoffs and NJ would be in).
IMO, assuming there aren't any significant trades, NJ/PHI/IND will be fighting for the 7 and 8 seeds with the Cavs slightly out of that picture with the Bucks and Pistons...if the Cavs stay healthy and can get a decent player for the TPE (not sure who?)
I'm not sure I'm understanding your post correctly, but you can't "trade" a TPE to another team. It's essentially a credit for $15M or whatever amount, and only the Cavs can "use" it.
Huh? Nobody is on the fence. Just because people don't think there will be great players available with the LAC pick doesn't mean they should want to add some older player instead
This team needs to rebuild and you don't rebuild by trading picks for older players, period.
