Worst Case Scenarios

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think Kemba's going to be a quality player in the NBA, honestly. If it shakes out how feel it will, we'll be getting Derrick Williams at #2 and Enes Kanter/Kemba at #8. I don't think anyone could really consider that a BAD draft. Say what you want about the measurables on Kemba, but the dude is a player. Not to mention all the publicity we'd get if we got him.

Who cares about publicity.

This seems like an easy answer which makes me wonder if it's a trick question... if our top two prospects are gone and we pick 3rd, then we take the third player on our board... Sorry if that's excessively simple, but I don't see this as a complicated problem. Would it be unfortunate to miss out on Irving and Williams? Yes, but it's not the end of the world.

Most feel Walker is closer to 5-11 than 6-1. He also only shot .428% last season along with 33% on 3's. For his career he's a .434% shooter and at .314% on 3's.
Does have talent and displayed a winning attitude but we are talking about an undersized volume shooting G whose PG ability also has been questioned.

Worst case scenario would be more than 1 team in the 5 and higher range moving up in the lottery into the top 3 to drop the Cavs to at least 5.

If we do end up picking at #3 I think Kanter and Valanciunas are the best options. I wouldn't even be opposed to ending up with 2 bigs with the Cavs lottery picks. It needs to be about best player available and the international PF's or C's may represent the best options available at both spots.

Yeah I agree with what everybody's said. Especially with Kemba. So you guys wouldn't take him with the 8th pick if he was on the board at 8? I would take a hard look at taking him at 8 if he was there but I highly doubt it. I would like to take a look a Kanter or one of the other bigs. But here's to hoping that we get lucky again like in 03.

Anyhow, lets say the Wizards get the 1st pick, Wolves get the 2nd and we get 3rd. Do the Wizards take Irving even though they take Wall with the 1st pick last year? I think the Wolves would def take him. I know they have a cuppard full of PGs and they're bringing back Rubio from over seas. I just hope we can catch a break.

I didn't necessarily say I wanted Kemba say but I was just talking worst-case scenario if we get the 4th pick and the guys we want our gone. I think I would rather have Knight over Walker because Knight is a bigger guard and in my opnion is a point guard. Now if we took a big with the 1st pick and Kemba was there at 8 then I would consider taking Kemba at 8 but I wouldn't really want to take him at 4 like everybody said. So you would want no part in Walker if he's on the board when we pick at 8?

I don't want any part of him in the top 10. I just get the feeling he'll be one of those guys who puts up above average scoring numbers with a lot of shots on bad teams.

If they don't end up with #1 or #2, I wouldn't be against trading both lotto picks for the #1 pick. After Irving and Williams, the drop-off looks to be pretty significant.

Thats how I feel. If we get completely screwed and land at #5 (depending on who comes out) I would not be opossed to trading both to grab Williams @ 2, if we cant get Irving. Then just take Cole in the 2nd round.

However, I also think we will somehow grab another lotto pick this year, even though I would rather it be next years.
I still wont count Barnes out, until he officially says from his own mouth that he is goingback to school.

Yeah I'm with you on that one. Now I wouldn't really want to give up our 2nd lottery pick to trade up for a Irving or a Williams but yeah like you said depending who declares for the draft the drop-off will decrease even after the 4th pick. I just hope we can get either Irving or Williams those are the only 2 I want.

So my next question for you guys is, if lets say we get picks 5 and 8, do you trade our picks and trade up to either 1 or 2 to get Irvings or Williams?

Only for Irving.

If we get 5/8 or something I wouldn't be opposed to trading that 5 and filler (JJ? Sessions? whatever it takes) for a good young player (a Thaddeus Young/Harden type...not necessarily those two) or a unprotected 2012/2013 first.

I agree with mcfly, go Big with the third choice, havent seen any of the euro players play but would choose the most offensivly skilled to balance out varjao. If we take knight or walker at 3 then wed probably end up taking two guards. I think we should get alec burks in this draft with our second selection so skilled and just a soph. But il go veasly burks, or if walker falls, try to transition him to the point. Wats best case scenerio?

Well obviously best-case scenario would be getting the number 1 pick, drafting Irving and getting into the top 5 with the Clippers pick as well. That would be the gold mine but that is not going to happen.

I would rather have Cole than Walker. I don't want either with our 1st round picks though.

Yea I'm not a Kemba Walker fan but even I take Walker over Cole.
