It's hard for me to go beyond those 4 players. Sullinger, Rick Jackson, Keith Benson, JuJuan Johnson, and a bunch of others are all in a group. I'd like to see us get a couple more picks (even 2nd rounders) out of this draft because I think it is stronger than most analysts do.
I can't answer your concerns. BUT I have 100% faith that Byron Scott can turn anybody with the drive and speed into a decent PG. He has Sessions playing extremely well. Sessions came into the season as a quick guard who can get to the rim. Now Sessions is making pretty nice passes all around the court and especially after he's penetrated. If Scott likes Knight's athleticism and tells Grant that he can get this kid to be a legit PG (if he's willing to work hard and learn) then I'm fine with taking Knight. I have no idea where Knight is mocked. If you say 15-25 it makes sense because I haven't heard anything to go against that. But I love his scoring ability and I would like to see him after Scott works with him.A quick question about Brandon Knight for those of you that like him. When I watched him earlier in the season, he did not look like a PG, but more of an undersized 2. Kind of like Ben Gordon. I have not watched him in the past month or so, has he improved his PG skills much since the beginning of the season? Because I remember reading some stuff on him a month or two ago saying that some NBA scouts had trouble even envisioning him as a 1st round pick but ultimately thought somebody would pick him up around the 15-25 pick range.
I like his scoring ability but I don't see a need for an undersized combo guard, especially not with a high pick.
