It's hard for me to go beyond those 4 players. Sullinger, Rick Jackson, Keith Benson, JuJuan Johnson, and a bunch of others are all in a group. I'd like to see us get a couple more picks (even 2nd rounders) out of this draft because I think it is stronger than most analysts do.

I do too. I like the possible PG's in this class.
Irving
Knight
Cole
Walker
Scott can make any of these guys better the second they walk onto Cleveland Clinic Courts.

2. E. Kanter
3. T. Jones
4. J. Valanciunas
5. H. Barnes

I have a feeling we'll be targeting PG/SF/C with our lottery picks. If that's not the case, then throw in P. Jones, D. Williams, and J. Sullinger between 2 and 5 somewhere.

I'm not really college savy with the prospects, but at least I have some preferences now that we have 2 draft picks.

Irving must be the number 1, because you can assume he knows what he needs to do and Byron's offense has strived with great ones like Kidd and Paul. But then you have to figure out what to do with Baron.
After that, I have no idea. People might be underestimating Kanter. He's big and strong and made Sullinger silly, right? So he's someone to keep in mind for centers. As for the rest, it doesn't seem to matter as much as it goes both ways.

Perry, Terrence, Harrison, Derrick, Jonas, etc... potential vs. contributor. You wait and see where you stand in the draft and get what you want and like. Grant likes athletic people, so if he wants Perry, hopefully it won't ruin us.

I used to have Sullinger in my top 5, but with JJ's play the past month or so it's tough to advocate taking a guy who is solely a PF

Another guy I like, not in the top 5 though is Alec Burks from Colorado. I've liked his game for about a month now so I'm not just bringing him up because he just had 33 and 10 in an upset of Texas. He's a 6-6 SG who can just score, and he extremely rebounds well too. His shot isn't quite where it needs to be but his form is solid so its not a lost cause. At this point he'd be a stretch to take at #8 (where the Clippers currently stand) but if that pick ends up around 12 or if we end up with a pick somewhere in the teens through another trade I would pick him in a heartbeat.

1. Irving
2. Perry Jones
3. Jonas Valuncias
4. Terrence Jones
5. Brandon Knight

1-Kyrie Irving: No brainer player. PG that Scott can mold. The position you want to build a team around.
2-Terrence Williams-wing player we need. Also would be willing to take a risk on Barnes if we get a PG. I feel Barnes will fall to the Cippers pick. Fundamental, at the SF wouldn't hurt.
3-Perry Jones- Great ceiling, but huge risk.
4-Alec Burks-SG that can score...period. Would be huge to pair up with a pg.
5-Knight- fast pg. Has the Kentucky feel and style to him. only if we trade down.

2nd rd: I would really like to draft Norris Cole with that 2nd rounder if we do not get Irving. We need a young PG to run this team. Sessions is a great role pg, but not mind blowing. Cole is moving up draft boards, a lot of drafts have him fallin only 2 or 3 picks after us.

A quick question about Brandon Knight for those of you that like him. When I watched him earlier in the season, he did not look like a PG, but more of an undersized 2. Kind of like Ben Gordon. I have not watched him in the past month or so, has he improved his PG skills much since the beginning of the season? Because I remember reading some stuff on him a month or two ago saying that some NBA scouts had trouble even envisioning him as a 1st round pick but ultimately thought somebody would pick him up around the 15-25 pick range.

I like his scoring ability but I don't see a need for an undersized combo guard, especially not with a high pick.

I can't answer your concerns. BUT I have 100% faith that Byron Scott can turn anybody with the drive and speed into a decent PG. He has Sessions playing extremely well. Sessions came into the season as a quick guard who can get to the rim. Now Sessions is making pretty nice passes all around the court and especially after he's penetrated. If Scott likes Knight's athleticism and tells Grant that he can get this kid to be a legit PG (if he's willing to work hard and learn) then I'm fine with taking Knight. I have no idea where Knight is mocked. If you say 15-25 it makes sense because I haven't heard anything to go against that. But I love his scoring ability and I would like to see him after Scott works with him.

Knight is Kyrie Irving-lite

great athletic abillity, Quick, Fast, great shooting abillity
doesnt have the Passing or ball handling skills Irving does
