What are the chances that Mitchell plays tomorrow?
Yep. That was a 15 foot gimmie bucket he makes 55% of the time, only he missed it both times...Alpha scorer has a guy one on one and gets to a spot he loves. Don’t see what you’re talking about.
No play was called. No point guard is on the floor. This is the type of shit you’ll see as a result.
Every single top score-first player in the league takes those shots.
Tell us you hate the Cavaliers team without coming right out and saying you hate the Cavaliers team.It only appears that way because Mitchell is mentally checked out. Last year he would’ve guaranteed carried us to this type of win. We only made the playoffs because he was playing like a MVP to start the season. I think when he first got traded here he saw potential. DG and Allen were coming off all star appearances and Mobley was deemed a “unicorn”. A 1st round exit and year later he’s accepted the fact that he has Pennywise as a head coach, Garland is moody and overrated, Mobley is just a guy and Jarett Allen would rather play fortnight and celebrate defensive 3 second calls then put a player on his ass
I'd rather take Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, and a future Collin SextonBKN doesn’t trade Bridges for Mitchell
They trade for Mitchell to pair with Bridges
They will make an offer of Dinwiddie, O’Neal, and either Sharpe or a 1st as first offer
Pushed to do it with a back channel promise from Donovan to extend, they maybe give in to offering something like Cam Johnson, Royce O’Neal and a pick
Cavs are not going to even sniff Bridges
I don’t like a lot about this interation of it, agreed. Was that supposed to mean something?Tell us you hate the Cavaliers team without coming right out and saying you hate the Cavaliers team.
Time is a flat circleI'd rather take Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, and a future Collin Sexton
I just think a lot of Cavs fans are rightfully spoiled by watching LeBron. We believe a perfect bball IQ is to be assumed by every star player in the league.Dude you're the only other guy here seeing those possessions clearly. And people saying DM is faking a tight hamstring on his FIRST game back from that very injury, that's a clown car take. I think it's reasonable to think it tightened up on him and affected shots he usually makes in his sleep.
Shhhh.... that will put a damper on the torches and pitchforks crowd.Mitchell was coming off an injury so being rusty shouldn't be surprising.
That's where you use Evan Mobley, who is 2x the playmaker with 2x the vision Mitchell has anyway. He had 6 assists tonight and during the win streak, he averaged 5 as the secondary playmaker from the high post
I think he’s a really solid playmaker when operating against a defense already in motion. I also should have specified perimeter playmaker.
I don’t think Mobley catching the ball 22 feet away with his back to the basket ends well. That’s what we see far too often given the sets being run late in the game.
Mitchell has 22 points/5 rebounds/6 assists. He also initiated at least 3 or 4 hockey assists that ended up being big man lobs/layups/dunks.I just think a lot of Cavs fans are rightfully spoiled by watching LeBron. We believe a perfect bball IQ is to be assumed by every star player in the league.
Donovan Mitchell puts up 25-28 points per game. He can score from everywhere. He’s going to be hunting his own shot every time he touches the ball. That’s *expected*. His COACH needs to taper that. His point guard needs to control the flow of the game.
LeBron did/does a lot of the things coaches typically do. It’s why Lue was a great coach for him. He would stand up to LBJ’s ego when needed, and he drew up beautiful ATOs.
Coaching matters, both in terms of the sets you run and the roles you communicate to players. JB clearly sucks at both of these. It’s obvious that Garland and Mitchell don’t have defined roles when on the court together. It’s a shame. You don’t develop chemistry before this happens, but rather, after.
Are the Cavs going to look better when Mitchell is out in the meantime? Sure. Are they ever going to seriously threaten a run without a top notch scoring threat? No.
Coach needs to bridge the gap, and this one ain’t going to.
