Bradley ain't exactly Eric Hosmer over there playing 1B...

He also needs to keep developing properly and not rushed along since he can fall into some pretty awful habits, like he did earlier this season. Think you won't see him until 2020, and by that point, one of 1B or DH will open up, most likely.

Still think there is a slight chance he may be moved before he makes it to the MLB level for us also...

Lol, you say Hosmer like Brantley is Pujols over there

We have no clue what Brant would be defensively. But I'm also a Bradley fan, his name and power ability brought me to Captains games over the past.
 
I'd be pretty shocked if Brantley weren't a plus defensive first baseman

Willing to bet Brantley, with one offseason of taking grounders and picking throws, is a better defender than Bradley at 1B. Watched enough of him over there to know that...at his absolute best, he'll be below average compared to the rest of the league.

And Bradley still has a ways to go, so be patient. Changes to his swing he made this year are promising though. Hopefully it leads to him spraying more XBH's around the park down the line.

Said this in here before during the last couple of seasons. Probably no one on the farm who watches more tape of himself and tinkers with his stance and swing as much as Bradley does. He works hard at his craft.

We all would love Bradley to be ready for next season, but he still needs more time. He will likely stay at AA all season and next season in AAA. Outside of injuries I don't expect to see him before 19 as long as he is progressing well. I think 20 is a good time frame for him as well.
