Current rumors today:

Encarnacion's top choice is a return to the Blue Jays. Agent thinks a deal happens during or before the Winter Meetings.

Astros interested in Carlos Beltran...Rangers want him back and the Red Sox are interested in him as well.

Mets have talked with Dexter Fowler. Teams are calling them about Michael Conforto, Curtis Granderson, and Jay Bruce.

Mets want Bartolo Colon to return. Braves have some interest in him as well.

Bartolo got 12.5 million from them...

That's how bad this free agent class of starters is...curious to see who overpays in a trade for a starter, like Arizona did with Shelby Miller last year.

Actually making me a bit nervous...possibility of Detroit and the CHI Sox moving a starter is fairly high, and a big sticking point with me is how depleted 3 of the farms in our own division are (Detroit, Chicago, Kansas City)...they can rectify that with one move if a team gets desperate for a starter. My biggest fear is Moncada ending up in Chicago in a Sale trade...

A friend of mine is a Red Sox fan, and he fears this too. I taunt him all the time saying they're going to trade Moncada and Benintendi.

Actual moves:

Craig Counsell and the Brewers agreed to a 3 year extension

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. signs with the Jays for 22 million over 7 years

Bartolo Colon signs with the Braves for 1 year, 12.5 million

Rumors:

Market for Jason Castro is heating up...seems like he will sign soon

Rays are most likely to move one of Drew Smyly, Chris Archer, or Jake Odorizzi this winter

Tigers are listening to offers on pretty much every one of their vets (Cabrera, Verlander, Victor Martinez, Kinsler, JD Martinez)

Orioles are interested in Josh Reddick...some chatter that he is looking for a deal around 10-12 million a year

Twins are listening to offers for Brian Dozier...also some rumors that they may non-tender Trevor Plouffe and make him a free agent this winter
