Andy Katz: Cavs offer #1 overall, Tristan, Waiters for Love... Rejected.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I doubt these guys care. They get millions and millions of dollars to play a game. Where they play probably doesn't matter as much as we make it to be.

i was about to get to that point.. Is there a book or documentary that actually follows the life of an NBA player? Like his day to day, what impact his job has on him and hte location he plays in? What rumors get to them etc...

If I was an NBA player who just bought a house and has a bunch of expensive shit, I would think being traded is a huge fucking hassle.. This scenario at the very least is true. Ego, commradery and other things should also be considered.

People also seem to be overlooking the fact that as much potential talent as we'd be giving out, the salaries match. So we'd have a roster poster trade of Kyrie, Love, Andy, Zeller, Gee, and Ellington + 20 million in cap space + the #19 pick and all of our future first round picks intact(our own 2014, 2015, and 2016 + the Kings, Pick, Heat pick, Grizzlies pick).

So I understand the view of those that just like Dion, TT, and the #1 more than Love, but anyone who thinks we'd have a barren roster around Kyrie and Love for the next 3-4 years is way off base.

Kyrie, Love, 19, 31, 33 and cap space this summer!!!!!!! Shit I'm confident that if we were to swing this deal that Grant could package 19,31,33 and move up in around top 10. On top of that we wold have enough cap space to get a great complimentary piece to go with Kyrie and Love. Kyrie and Love are 2/3 of a big 3. we can fill out the roster this year and still get that 3rd piece next summer. I mean I know some posters love (no pun) Dion and TT and possibly Noel with the #1 pick but it's Kevin Love. He's been the best rebounder in the league for the past few seasons. He's also as good a stretch 4 there is right now and he's only 24!!!! Stop worrying about if you will be able to resign him in 2 years. If your gonna worry about that we may as well worry about if we are gonna be able to resign Kyrie when it's time. With Kyrie and Love I think we can pass Bucks, Celtics, Hawks, in the East for sure. Hell 50 wins in the East and you're a top 4 seed. The potential of having Kyrie and Love on the same team is better than the potential of TT, Dion and the #1 pick panning out.

isnt every single response after the first post a moot point because its been declined

I'm still hoping it was never offered. Dan Gilbert kinda hinted at that. That made me feel better.

If you we another GM what would you offer for TT and Dion?

Honestly I wouldn't have any interest in TT and I'd consider a first round pick, probably a lottery pick for Dion along with a future 1st.

Dan Gilbert really needs to stay out of the media sometimes. It doesn't help the team that the owner is discussing trade rumors on twitter with fans.

I'm happy that he's out here denying the Cavs offered that ridiculous deal.

It hinders us in no way at all for Gilbert to deny the trade was ever even a possibility.

It still never happened anyway.

I don't think it really matters. He could very easily be lying, or he could be telling the truth and whoever spread the original rumor was lying. Either way, I don't see how it impacts the team at all.

No, he didnt deny it.

But I'm happy that he is trying to get idiot fans to think things through for themselves instead of reacting to every single scrap of info that comes out.

No doubt in my mind the Cavs offered that... and I'm not suirprised Minny rejected... only certain Cavs fans think that was too much
