Cavs Draft News Tweets

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hollinger, Ford and the three goofs on the set tonight (among others) all saying the Cavs did a nice job with this draft... But who are they to disagree with RCF's finest?

I admit I'm a little disappointed but I'm not going to overreact. I'm willing to wait and see how this all turns out. Many of us were on board with going best player available and that's what the Cavs did. THey had Thompson rated highly so I have to trust them although I have my doubts.

I thought there was decent talent at #32. Wasn't crazy about Harper so I was fine with trading him. I hope the 2 future#2's aren't both low.

Macvan is worth a chance late 2nd round. Does have ability and produces. At that point in the draft why not take the chance?

I thin hollinger was actually doing our picking. He loves this last guy

I like this Macvan dude too....

Catch some of his clips...he is a big thick bodied guy who can face up and shoot and also back you down...

Dating myself here....but reminds me a little of Dino Radja....(haha....cameo in the first video from one Allen Iverson....funny stuff.)

I am very pleased. Would I liked to have had Williams or Kanter? Yeah. But we cannot be greedy. We got an outstanding PG and a stud defensive PF. We have a great trade piece in JJ Hickson, additional draft picks an still the TPE to use if they can conjure something up before it expires.

This team will suck haha - they have a legit shot at Sullinger, Perry Jones, Jeremy Lamb, Harrison Barnes, etc.

And make great points.

I think some people wanted a player at 4 that didn't exist. The only real gripe I'm willing and ready to hear is that they screwed up the #32. The #4, they went with their 2nd best player on the board and a guy who will play really good defense.

Thank you.

In this draft, that potential stud All-Star at the 4th pick didn't exist....

I think the Cavs realize a total rebuild is necessary....those upset with Thompson because we have JJ Hickson and Varejao fail to realize that Andy and JJ may not be part of this team's future.

Personally, I think there's a good chance Andy gets moved....JJ becomes a free agent after next year and is anyone really sure he is a guy the Cavs need to re-sign and keep for the future.

I think he is a hot name at the trade deadline....if there is a season.

I love people throwing a fit about not having a Center, when the NBA has maybe 3 pure C's in the entire league under 32 yrs old. Dwight, Bynum, Bogut... anyone else who even remotely plays like a pure C anymore?

The NBA is evolving away from C's. Smart teams are gravitating toward smaller, more athletic post players and 6'9 or 6'10 guys who can stretch the floor. I'll even throw out 2 examples from the playoffs: Dallas dismantling the Lakers big front line with spacing and 3's, and Miami blowing by Boston's front line of dinosaurs like they had roots in the ground.

But by all means, let's replace Z with a lesser clone who wont be here til 2013...

Did anyone hear Jonas V being interviewed after he got picked and the reporter said:

"You said your game is like Chris Bosh, why is that?"

Jonas: "Because I'm not that strong..." (then some broken english)

I know he doesn't know english that well, but I thought it was funny...

I don't mind the Thompson pick, as the guy is basically Tyrus Thomas 2.0 but could potentially be more. It's the fact that we just gave away our 32nd pick to the Magic, especially when that player was considered to have 1st round talent, quickness, and size, and just lacked in consistency + effort. He could very well develop into a good athletic SF with 3 point range, who knows? But we would rather just take 2 mid-late 2nd rnd picks instead...

God damn, did I just walk into Cav-fuckin-fanatic?!

Calm the hell down people!

If you want to disagree with the picks, fine. But.. the world is not ending.. the organization is not in collapse.. Gilbert/Grant are not in over their heads.. and people calling for Grant's heads are being ridiculously over-dramatic.

This draft was exactly what everybody said it was. Irving/Williams and the rest.

They are called "the rest" for a reason. Nobody stands out that bright.

You guys complain about Hickson's mental lapses on D, then bitch when we draft a PF who will play strong D.

We got our guys, and our #1 priority in this draft in Irving.

You guys bitch we drafted Harper, then bitch that we traded him?! Talk about contradicting arguments.

You guys are actually bitching that we didn't draft David f'n Lighty?! That David Lighty, who would've been the 54th pick in a weaker class, isn't going to be our starting SF/SG? Really?! Do you realize how ridiculous you guys sound right now?!

Calm down, step away from the ledge, and oh, here's an idea.. how about we watch how these guys play before you bash them & Grant?

God damn, I'm ashamed of this board right now.

Edit: Why does everybody keep saying Orlando's future 2nd's will be mid-late 2nd's? If they are, in fact, in 2013 & 2014, as reported by the PD, Howard will be gone.

F*ck it, let's hope this lockout ends so we an see these youngins go at it. While I may disagree with some of the selections (credit that to the scouts, tweets, write-ups, articles, videos, etc / AKA familiarity with the players), I still would like to believe that the Front Office did their "due dilligence" (as seen in the posturing, fabrication, smokescreens, etc).

Shyte, let's go. It's done, let's move on. We wanted the new era - WELCOME the new blood.

PS Someone said that David Lighty = Daniel Green, completely disagree. Lighty is a mature good and disciplined at everything but not special at something, ergo a perfect off-the-bench player and I'm still hoping we get him as a walk-on. Good for leadership and good for the locker room.

I'm standing up and applauding at my computer. Agree 100%
