WALLY WORLD!!!!!!
I don't think the Thunder will have a choice. If Harden gets a max offer I don't think they can match. Between Durant, Westbrook, Perkins, Thabo, Collison and Lazar Haywood they will have 53.4 Million spent, on 6 players. If the lux tax is 72M, that leaves them about $19M to pay Harden, Ibaka, Maynor--and that will still leave only 9 players, they need 5 or 6 more. And this is the year the luxury tax penalty goes up significantly.
I would MUCH prefer Harden over Gordon.
This off-season I want Asik and Mahinmi--draft Barnes or MKG. Next off-season try and get Harden and with our pick a floor spacing big man--to me PF or C doesn't matter (to me the NBA is pretty much PG, 2 wings, 2 bigs).
2013-14
Irving-Gibson
Harden-Eyenga
Barnes-Gee (Gee can back up SG also), maybe Casspi
TT-Mahinmi-Samuels
AV-Asik
Very athletic, potentially elite D. And we would have plenty of scoring with Irving-Harden and Barnes. I think by this year TT will have a respectable jump shot from 15 ft or so. We also would have our 2013 #1 pick and the Heat pick to add to this team.
If this team continues to play like it is, they won't be anywhere near the position they need to be to draft Harrison Barnes.
You are correct. I have a feeling our front office will make sure we lose enough games to around pick high enough where maybe we add some sweetener to our pick to move up a few spots. But yes, my scenario has a lot of best case in it.

Sorry if the link doesnt work right I was in my phone
However I saw this article today on RealGM. Apparently he has been disappointed by most of the offers he has received from them. This article says that he will most likely become a free agent. If we don't get to draft MKG he would be a pretty nice pickup at the 3 even if he is French.
Just watched Harden on NBA TV against the Warriors. Sign me up for a big contract to bring him here over the off-season. Kid could average atleast 20 points a game playing along side of Kyrie and a starting role. Would be a good backcourt!
Nash, Duncan and Ray Allen
