Well, I've always liked Haslem because he always works so damn hard, just like Boozer did. He is undrafted, and the only advantage that gives him, is to know that he has to work hard to make a living in the NBA. As a lot of you might know, undrafted players has the reputation of being hardworking, which many has to be, since they worked their way up to the big League trought CBA and NBDL, etc.
The fact that they can't write "He was the #?? pick in the NBA Draft 2000" on their bio on basketball cards or at NBA.com will hurt any undrafed freeagent when teams are looking for additonal players for their roster. And that's pure facts, a undrafted player will always be hurt on the paper, only because he wasn't picked in the draft, no matter how he plays or the rest of that paper looks. Ben Wallace is undrafted, he's Defensive Player of the year three times, he has won a championship with a team full of underdogs with no NBA superstar, but the thing that makes that amazing is that no one ever drafted Wallace, he got there by hard work. I love Ben Wallace, and the way he made it to the top of the League. But damn, this thread isn't about being undrafted, it's about wheiter Cavs should pick Haslem or maybe look for someone else.
Well, Haslem is a hardworking player, just the way a real powerforward should be. He might not be as big and strong as Boozer, but he is way more atheltic, and of course, he is still young and willing to learn. He can run a fastbreak, and being able to do that, he would suit Cavaliers well, which should be able to play fastbreak offense very well.
Another possibility would maybe be to get Stromile Swift? There where many rumors about Cavaliers being interessted in this guy last year, but Memphis is ready to match any realistic offer given to him?
I think any of these two guys would suit Cavaliers well, and might be just we need to get things moving our way and get a playoffs spot.
Well, let's just discuss this rumors, read what the news says about it and on 22th of July or further on trought the offseason, Cavaliers will probably have a new powerforward, and of course a shooting guard, and maybe a starting or a back-up point guard.
(It's still pretty hard for a 15 year old Norwegian to express himself on a different language than his main language, but I think I'm doing just fine, hope you understand what I mean by everything I'll be writting here).
Man it's good too be back with you guys here at RCF!
