Haslem set to meet with Cavs soon.

On hoopshype today ...it 'rumors' that the Heat are close to resigning Haslem. They are getting Shaq's deal worked out and then are ready to take care of Haslem. Looks like we may need to go in a different direction ...I keep hearing rumors about the Clippers being involved with the Cavs in a sign and trade. But, don't know the potential players ...I'm guessing Gooden and Jaric would be the main figures. Maybe Wilcox.

Oh I would seriously love this Gooden/Sasha (I feel bad losing Sasha but the Clips need a SG) for Jaric (our backup PF) and Wilcox. This would be awesome!!

Wilcox is still young but he is a true PF and not a tweener like Drew. They are both a lot a like in the sense they have a lot to learn in terms of playing the game. But Wilcox is power player whose potential is a lot more then Drew's: better athlete, better size, etc. Trust me his numbers would be very good but he's been stuck behind Brand in a crappy organization

The point of the deal would be Jaric as well who I really like: He's a perfect backup PG for us: good size, decent defender, good range, and he's already experieced

Last I heard was that Wilcox got arrested.. So I wouldn't even think about looking at him.

I'd much rather keep Gooden than get Wilcox. Wilcox hasn't proven much as a pro. He's one of thsoe guys with great athleticism but doesn't have all the skills or can produce much. He started of pretty well last season but was at the end of the bench at the end of the season.
Wilcox doesn't seem to represent at all what Ferry and Brown are looking for in a PF.

Bob Finnan did report today that the Cavs might have interest in Jaric. That's the 1st I've heard of that though. He's a restricted FA so that would make him tougher to sign.

Clips make sense to trade with. Nine guards and four centers only three forwards one of which they are losing (bobby simmons) to free agency. Goober would have a lot of value as a scoring option when brand is off the floor, and they might take a newble/pavs for small forward to help scoring or defense depending on which they take. Shaun Livingston is everything they wanted so Jaric/Chalmers would be available since they just drafted another PG. Of course I woudl prefer Zbreca to Wilcox as the center of attention..

Ferry and crew are already showing genius, but if they pull this one off, they are moving into a new class of executive excellence. Question is can we do this, Sarunas, and the Haslim deal? ( I am thinking Jarko replaces Sarunas as an option)

I don't think we are in the hunt anymore looks like he wants to go back. Many question how well he will do without Shaq and I don't think Haslem wants to find that out.

Nene for Drew sounds really nice. But I am not sure if the Nuggets would want to take that strait up. We are going to have to mix and match some players. Mabey Nene/Tski-somethin for Drew/Sasha?

I'd prefer to go Gooden/Newble for Nene, coz Sasha will be a real nice player if he can get his rythm goin. Newble can't shoot, can barely play D, while Nene is a good low post scorer who doesn't demand the ball, plus he's a strong body and can hold his own.

Yeah I'd offer Gooden and Newble too but they would reject it, trust me I'm not rlly fond of dealing Sasha but when Nene is involved I'd pack Sasha's bags for him..and newble can hardly defend? um excuse me but he shut a lot of guys down last year and contained them..not too sure what team you've been watching..
