Very good points about the rebounding. It seems like it has taken a hit without Z. Believe it or not, the Celtics outrebounded the Cavs by 12 in that last game. Camby would undoubtedly fix this up. Just the thought of having him with Ben Wallace gives me chills (as it would give opposing frontcourt players nightmares).
You're talking about two guys that combine for 5 out of the last 7 of the defensive player of the year awards, as well as 3,882 career blocks. I'd love to see KG pull that bully nonsense :chuckles:
edit: It would also be nice for addressing a lot of concerns everyone has with the Magic right now. The Cavs really don't have a player to truly "guard" Howard (then again, who can!). Z is almost laughable, Andy could pester him but game-over on the block, and Ben would do the best job but lacks the height. If Camby was acquired, he would have the best chance to slow him down. He could keep him off of the glass and give us the best possible shot at containing him without having to double him. This would be huge in the playoffs, as Howard would be expected to surpass his 36 minutes per game. The 40 or so minutes could be divvied between Camby and Ben Wallace, which would definitely be the best players to guard Howard throughout all the playoffs.
In the 4 games last year, Howard averaged 19.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks. However, these numbers are even skewed because he found himself in foul trouble those 4 games (recorded 3 or more fouls all 4 times, averaging 3.8 fouls). Hoping Howard gets in foul trouble, or that Andy can draw charges on him is definitely not a longterm solution for a playoff series. With Camby we would be able to turn our attention towards their shooters, without having to constantly double Dwight.
