Kidd Wants To Be A Cav Next Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Jason Kidd Makes NO Sense!!!

if kidd were willing to come here for the bi-annual exception why the hell would we turn that down? That's what most of the talk has been. And besides, he'd be better for our guard group than boobie is.

Re: Jason Kidd Makes NO Sense!!!

I agree, Kidd is not a priority at all.

We need an athletic wing and a big who can run the floor and defend. PG is near the bottom of the list.

Re: Jason Kidd Makes NO Sense!!!

Why not use that money for a player with length out on the wing to come off the bench? It just seems stupid to me to get yet another PG sized player who will only be shooting 3s for us. Everything else, West does much better than Kidd and would run our second unit much more effectively.

Re: Jason Kidd Makes NO Sense!!!

It would be nice to have a PG that can actually average more assists than Lebron. Mo isn't really a PG. We need someone to distribute. Plus, if Mike Brown is smart we should be running more and Kidd is great at that.

Re: Jason Kidd Makes NO Sense!!!

Do we REALLY need another offseason thread?

I think Kidd would help, but as others have already posted there are more pressing needs to attend to.

Yes, we have higher priorities than Kidd. But the idea of him coming in and and going against the other team's backups would be nuts. For the right price, getting Kidd would be a great addition.

Kidd for the BAE would be a phenomenal pickup that rarely comes to mid-market teams like Cleveland. A former superstar, Jason Kidd, rounding out our second unit..

Call me crazy, but I really see him taking a pay cut just to play here.

I don't think Kidd WANTS to be in a position where he's heavily relied on at this point.

I think he wants to spend his last few years on the court enjoying himself and I think he sees that scenario in Cleveland.

Say what you want, but I really feel they could use a guy like him who isn't afraid to take some of the pressure off of LeBron in the clutch.

As much as I love Mo and Delonte, when it matters, they seem to check down to LeBron like everyone else.

If he's willing to scale back the pay quite a bit, I welcome him with open arms.

You'd be foolish not to take a HOF true point guard if the price was right.

If, and only if, he's willing to accept the BAE, I'm all about Kidd. If he wants any more than that, I'm sorry Jason, but we have better uses for our money.

I'd love Kidd to be running the 2nd unit, it'd finally take Boobie away from that position. Hell, it'd finally give Boobie a real PG to teach him the role. I've noticed that Boobie picked up well on E-Snow's tactics at dealing with a bigger player. I have been impressed a few times over the past 2 years seeing Daniel take on a bigger player and actually hold him from establishing deep post position.

If Kidd is willing to come here on the cheap, I'm all for it. In fact, I think a full year with Kidd would finally push LBJ over the top, and help our combo guards finally learn what it means to a PG.

Give me Kidd at 2 years for the BAE, solely so he can teach Mo, Delonte, and Boobie how to be a real ****ing PG in this league. If one of those 3 develops enough to do it, it would push LBJ off the ball even more.

If we have a chance to get Kidd for the bi-annual, I think you have to jump on that. Sign a power forward and either use Boobie and filler for a trade for a wing or just use green/terrance/jawad as the starting shooting guard "later" in the season, moving delonte to the second line up. Thats an awesome bench. Kidd/Delonte/Sheed?/Z. And any one of those guys, Kinsey/jawad/ green would excell in the starting line up with shaq and bron. I don't care about their experiance. In fact it will excel greens confidence and propel him into a solid player instead of dangling minutes here and there like Brown loves to do. Throw that kid to the wolves. It's not a sink or swim situation, it's a crash course with hall of famers. You can only get better. Look what it did for Rondo, playing with 3 all stars.

Don't know where this guy heard this shit.......

Doubt it is legit because I don't see any real source. Anyway pretty funny how most of the Boston fans run with it even though it is just something some guy heard.

Anyway, I would like Kidd for the BAE. Maybe Kidd has told LeBron he is coming so LeBron told him and Shaq to find youth by playing with their old numbers. Shaq goes back to his college days, 33, and Kidd will take 32 to rep his days with the Suns. :chuckles:
