Matt Barnes agrees to 2 yr/$3.2 mil w/ Orlando (pg. 34)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We're trying to make a dynasty, Ferry only does one sided deals.

We probably wouldn't have given up Courtney Lee and Alston if they had been on our roster.

You also wouldn't have drafted Lee, seeing as how you took Hickson ahead of him... :D

And the only reason we got Alston was as temporary filler for our franchise PG(who is back now ;)) just to keep us competitive. Alston was never gonna be ok playing 10-12 mins as a backup, and his expiring this year was part of the only reasons we gave up our 1st round pick to get him anyway. We were gonna flip him into something more valuable once Meer came back the whole time. That was part of the original plan. Thinkin two steps ahead. ;)

i really think magic fans overhype Jameer Nelson i dont think he should have got the Allstar bid over Mo williams to begin with dont get me wrong hes GOOD but hes not GREAT.

I think most members around here are holding back and being good sports. The real reason we are reverent towards Hedo is swag.

The guy was confident and fairly physical. When the cavs hit him in the mouth, he smiled.

You guys need to really watch carefully when Vince Carter faces a physical defender. The cavs have shut him down with Ira Newble Eric Snow and Sasha Pavlovic in the past. He fakes injury in 3/4ths of the games we face him. If he were in prison, he would be the guy who screams and cries for the first half hour and wears a contraband wig and bra the rest of the time.

You think Shaq is washed up, we think Wince Cater has a vagina. I guess we won't know the winner until the actual game is played.

Keys throws down the hammer!

Ryan Anderson just turned 21, Lee is turning 24. They averaged about the same stats last year, but with Anderson being so young we do not know what his ceiling is yet. Anderson tore summer league up (which doesn't mean that much), and he fits our system well, he is 6'10 can shoot the 3 very well. He also can drive and rebound fairly well, it will be interesting to see how he develops

Of course you dont. Jameer only won 3 Eastern Conference POW awards in half a season and the Coaches only voted him into the all-star team on the 1st ballot.... Mo Will didn't even win 1 POW award over an entire season and it took two injuries and alot of complaining to get a pity nod after coaches had to fill out a 3rd ballot....

I mean, I can see now why Mo shouldve have gotten the all-star bid over Jameer. His resume speaks for itself, Orlando fans need to quit overhyping Jameer... He aint that nice...

Magic fans are hilarious. Some of them think their bench would fight for the eight seed in the east. What a fucking joke!!

Vince Carter isn´t actually known for being a winner. He has olympic gold in his pocket, other than that, he hasn´t won anything. Now, I think he has matured in the last couple of years and given a team like Orlando, he might just come out good. But as of now, he is proven loser.

Personnally i'm not sold on nelson, yeah he had a good half a season, but i'm not sure how good hes going to be next year. He shot a much higher percentage last season, is that due to a change in mechanics? or is it an anomoly? we know mo's percentages went up but that is due to shot reconstruction started in last summer. It will beinterested to see them both play next season, it should settle the argument

I don't think you quite have the right to call our bench a joke after yours was outscored by Mickael Pietrus alone in the ECF.

Just sayin' :)

True true pietrus earnt his paycheck that series

That's because he has a superstar on his team that was getting them week in week out

couldn't the same thing be said before KG joined the C's? Or how about before Gasol joined the Lakers? What about Paul Pierce before he got 2 HOF'ers? this argument is stupid. Just because GMs fail to give their superstar a winning team, said player gets a bad rap for being a loser.

Pierce, Allen, & particularly KG were all dubbed 'losers', and never won anything either until 07... Pau Gasol was a perennial 'loser' until he became a Laker.... Carters past has nothing to do with how he will be as a Magician.

And what does that have to do with anything? You act like Meer didnt have other great players on the team the team to compete with?? Hedo the great (who everyone now acts like is the best thing since MJ) had, guess what, 0 POW honors. Rashard Lewis also had 0 POW honors.

All im saying is, you guys are overrating Hedo, and then now you're underrating Jameer by saying he didnt deserve the respect he got.... Jameer was better than Hedo and Rashard when he was healthy last season, but you guys think he is overhyped and will have no greater impact than Rafer Alston(who was considered the weak link in starting unit, hence why your very team put LBJ on him so he could roam)??

Lol, thats why you guys lost to us. Guys like Mo Will runnin their mouth and talking too much and not knowing & respecting their opponent.... You should know your enemy and respect your enemy, before you start talking about how much greater you are than them. That's all im saying. Just make sure you can back up what your saying before you say it.... Jameer earned his hype, and has the #'s to back it up. If you think it's a fluke, well then thats your opinion and I certainly cant deny you of your opinion, but Jameer certainly earned any hype he gets. Just go take a look at the #'s and watch some tape.

Can we get these Magic fans out of here?

Keep PatGarrity though he knows his stuff and his respectful.

It seems the Orlando boys have this covered, but I do think most Cavs fans missed the boat on the Hedo trade. The key to the Cavs .vs. Magic matchup was Dwight and our in ability to defend him in transition, on the P&R, or in the post.

Our usual defense of showing hard on the P&R was picked apart by Dwight's size and speed compared to our defenders. He can run that with anyone, and he ran it very well with Nelson last year.

Hedo as I've pointed out many times did not shoot lights out .vs. the Cavs, his FG% was actually down around 40%, and he didn't do much different .vs. the Lakers. As a "go to" player the guy is a joke. It's cute how he tries to do all the things like LeBron would do in the same situation and sometimes it works, but as pointed out he's wildly inconsistent and sports a much reduced eFG (39.3%) in clutch situations compared to Wince's (58.7%).

There's no telling how things will really work out, chemistry and health are so important to team success; but until the Cavs figure out a means to defend Dwight, Orlando will continue to see easy post scores, open driving lanes, and uncontested 3pt shots .vs. our D. Shaq is 1/2 a solution in that he can defend Dwight around the rim, but we still need figure out how to keep up with him in transition and deal with their P&R's and hopefully find a way to put an end to his illegal screens. So aggravating that they decided to whistle those in the finals, but not in the ECF.
