Rebuilding Trade Ideas

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This is a very long read. ..
Well, there you are. I tried to be as fair to all teams involved as I could be. Feel free to rip apart. :)

Nice, I really like the moves that get us 2012 and beyond picks. Just one or two moves this year to get possible lottery picks in 2012+ and I will be able to root for wins next year...

Let's trade Andy for James Harden's beard. Straight up.

Trade with Minnesota and Golden State
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=455kmhh

Cleveland trades: Antawn Jamison, Ramon Sessions, and 2011 first (LAC)
Cleveland obtains: Andris Biedrins, Martell Webster, 2011 first (MIN), and 2011 first (GSW)

Minnesota trades: Michael Beasley, Martell Webster, and 2011 first
Minnesota obtains: Monta Ellis

Golden State trades: Monta Ellis, Andris Biedrins, and 2011 first
Golden State obtains: Antawn Jamison, Michael Beasley, Ramon Sessions, and 2011 first (LAC via CLE)

Trade with Detroit and Boston
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=3qw9rqf

Cleveland trades: Anderson Varejao, Ramon Sessions, and 2012 second (NOH)
Cleveland obtains: Ben Gordon, 2012 first (LAC via BOS), and 2012 first (DET)

Detroit trades: Ben Gordon and 2012 first
Detroit obtains: Ramon Sessions, Jermaine O'Neal, Manny Harris, and 2012 second (BOS)

Boston trades: Jermaine O'Neal, 2012 first (LAC), and 2012 second
Boston obtains: Anderson Varejao and 2012 second (NOH)

If that happened we would be picking 1-5 in 2012. I'm down lol. Not a chance though, but I do like the idea of trying to get a lot of extra picks in the potentially stacked 2012 draft.

That's a lotttt of money to take on while even giving up Hickson, too. The Cavs are still worse than the 76ers post-trade, so the opportunity to swap picks isn't that appealing. If the Cavs win the lottery and get Irivng, no way I do it.

I'm not sure Philly does it either. Randolph and Webster are pretty mediocre. Wes can be OK. It's a little unfair to judge him when he played almost the entire season out of position. Still, they were able to sneak into the playoffs and Brand, while still overpaid, wasn't totally awful this year. IMO they will bank on the improvement of their young players and go for the playoffs again with this roster in tact.

Second trade is interesting and would probably depend on the protection of the Pistons pick.

How did the Clips trade back to back first round picks?

They have a pick coming to them from Minnesota in 2012.

Plus, Minnesota could offer their pick this year in 2011 in my trade proposal because they have a pick coming to them from Memphis this year.

EDIT: There's really nothing else to do around here at this time. Chill on the hate for posting some trade ideas. I don't think anything I've posted is ridiculous.

Dwight Howard and Gilbert Arenas to Cleveland
JJ Hickson, Antawan Jamison, Trade Exception, 2 2011 1sts and 2 2011 2nds to Orlando

Dwight-Varejao-Eyenga-Arenas-Baron
Hollins, Sessions, Boobie, Erden, Harangody off the bench

Orlando feels the pressure and the need to get something for Dwight. They pick up Hickson and a 2 top 8 draft picks and dump Gilbert Arenas' huge contract. Baron and Dwight would be fun to watch together, at the least.

Yikes, no thanks. We get stuck with Arenas shitty contract and Dwight leaves at the end of the season. I really don't think there's anyway Dwight is coming to Cleveland.

I agree, the trade would be dependent on Dwight signing an extension. Just throwing it out there for fun. I think it might be enough for Orlando to pull the trigger, but I don't think the Cavs would be willing to do it.

I think that Dwight goes to the Lakers...just a gut feeling.

Anybody think we should try to make the Richard Hamilton deal and take Detroit's pick this year? Hear me out. It would totally be conditional upon a trade-up with the Timberwolves.

In the first trade, you give the Traded Player Exception to Detroit in exchange for Hamilton and the Pistons' pick this year (8th overall). You then package Varejao with the 8th pick and take back filler to make it work (Milicic, Webster) plus their pick (2nd overall).

This would give the Cavs three of the top four picks. I'm just thinking out loud.

Now that the Cleveland Cavaliers have won the first pick in the NBA draft, point guard Ramon Sessions appears to be the odd man out. And the New York Knicks would be interested in him.

Newsday reported that the Knicks would have interest in Sessions, who may not have a roster spot should the Cavaliers - as expected - select point guard Kyrie Irving with the first pick in the June draft.

The Cavaliers also have veteran Baron Davis, who would be more difficult to move because of his prohibitive contract and could serve as a mentor to Irving, who is projected by most draft experts to be the No. 1 pick.

Sessions has two years left on a four-year, $16 million contract. The Knicks have veteran Chauncey Billups under contract for one more season and also have Toney Douglas, who often is used at shooting guard.

Sessions averaged a career-high 13.3 points and 5.2 assists last season. He has played for three teams in four years.

I am all for moving Session, I just don't see anything the the Knicks have, that they would be willing to part with, that we would want. They can not move any first round draft picks until 2018.
