Trade Rumor(s)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I would love Ryan Anderson, but do not want to trade Love for him. Love can do a ton of things, outside of being a spot up shooter, significantly better than Ryan Anderson.

:chuckle:

Trading Kevin Love for Ryan Anderson....

The fact that you even need to say this is astounding.

Why would the Bulls give Pau Gasol away and that too to us? :conf (11):

Really like Ryan Anderson but he won't offer us anything different. Love does everything Anderson does, and a hell lot more. Its not like Ryan Anderson is a good defender as well. What we need is someone like a Jae Crowder or Robert Covington kinda a player. Robert Covington for me would be the perfect player. Not only can he play back-up to LeBron but can play as a power forward in a small ball line-up. Solid defender with a decentish-good three point shooting ability. Such a shame we don't have any picks to get that trade done because Hinkie won't trade Covington for the TPE.

If the Pelicans get the Cavs to make that trade then they better get Russell Westbrook in a few years. A Westbrook/Love/Davis trio would be extremely fun to watch.

Also, if the Pelicans get the Cavs to make that trade then Griffin needs to be fired on the spot and Dell Demps needs to be named executive of the year. Holy hell we have come far.

Dear God.

Try this. Make a list of all of the teams in NBA history that were leading their conferences and on a 60+ win pace halfway into the season, who then made a franchise-altering trade. The closest one I can think of is the '04 Pistons landing Sheed, and they were on a less-than-50 win pace (and had just rolled off a six-game losing streak) when they made the trade.

Keep having fun with the Trade Machine if you like. Just realize that if the Cavs do make a trade, it will be for a PJ Tucker-type piece, and not one that re-shuffles the deck.

Why is this named the "Trade Rumors" thread? It's the off-the-wall, ridiculous trade suggestions most of which make no fucking sense thread.

I have no idea what you're talking about man :chuckle: , also I think this trade really benefits both teams. :alc:

With Brooklyn finally on the brink of getting out of cap hell, it will be interesting to see what direction a brand new GMans brand new coach will want to go with veteran center Brook Lopez.

Lopez had been forever rumored to be on the block, and just signed a 3 year deal averaging a hair under 20 million per year. Lopez could Be the centerpiece to their rebuild, or also the last piece needing moved for a complete rebuild and clean slate.

A Cavs Nets match here could be intriguing. The Nets owner loves acquiring Russians, which Mozgov is. We have another in Kahn. We have one of the top European prospects rights in Cedi Osman. We also have a 1st round pick to offer in the next couple years, something the Nets do not. Lastly, Lopez has had a history of foot problems, a concern amongst Nets officials.

A deal with Andy/Mozgov/Mo/Kahn would work for Lopez and Bragnani, or even Ellington who is prefer. It would clear close to another 25 more million for the Nets, plus give 2 key assets as Osman is essentially a 1st rounder himself.

I would only do this if the Cacs were able to swing a deal with their exception for Markieff Morris, who would backup Love. This 10 man rotation would be the NBA's elite...

Kyrie's/Delly
J.R/Shump
Bron/R.J
Love/Morris
Lopez/Thompson

Bench filled out with Jones, Cunningham, one of Elkington or Bargnani, and a buy out candidate I'd watch for would be other Joe Johnson (3 and D) or Channing Frye. Or both.

Maybe if they included a pick or two. If we're going to take on a headache, we should be compensated accordingly.

No god no not Bargnani. He's the worst type of awful there is in the NBA.

Not sure Lopez would even make the team better. He can put it in the basket, but outside of that, he doesn't offer anything else. Not a good rebounder, or passer, or defender. He can block shots, but he's no Ben Wallace.

Ever heard of a repeater luxury tax? Complete rebuild? The Nets have been haunted for years. Ever heard of expiring deals? Probably THE MOST valuable commodity in the NBA relative to luxury tax. If the Nets were looking for talent, they wouldn't trade him in the first place he's a top 5 center in this league. The move will be purely economically driven, and directionally driven.

Come on guys, at least make the trade scenarios a bit more realistic. Think things through a bit. If you're asking for an all-star player or a big that averages 20/8, what would be a realistic return?

All right people, it's come from on high.. Get your act together.

Let's hear some realistic trade scenarios.

I've come to the conclusion the best realistic trade that has some significant potential of happening is Morris/Tucker. I think that's a good trade for Cleveland, and by all accounts Phoenix isn't looking for much in return.
